HIGHLANDERS winger Kurt Baker has been hit with a six-week suspension for a lifting tackle on Rebels halfback Nic Stirzaker.
Baker pleaded guilty after being cited by SANZAR for his cleanout on Stirzaker in the 12th minute of the Highlanders’ win over Melbourne at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
He has been banned until May 16, ruling him out of Friday night’s match at home to the Bulls, as well as the Highlanders’ clashes with the Sharks, Stormers, Lions and Hurricanes.
