Pittsburgh Pirates fan gets a championship tattoo more than two months in advance
THIS fan is one of three things. Very optimistic, very dumb or very drunk. You’ll have to make up your own mind which one it is.

IT’S not uncommon for sportsmen to get tattoos commemorating championships. What is uncommon though is when fans go out and do the same thing, but before their team has actually won anything.
That’s what this Pittsburgh Pirates fan did when he inked himself with an inscription declaring his favourite baseball players were part of the world champion side for 2015. Someone obviously forgot to tell him that the World Series decider won’t actually be played for a couple of months.

Andrew Broadwater must be a firm believer in the old adage “third time lucky”, because the Pirates have been knocked out of the playoffs in the past two years as they search for their first world title since 1979.
“I’ve been joking around with my wife for about a month now saying, ‘Hey, I’m going to get the Pirates championship tattooed on my leg,’” Broadwater told SB Nation.
“She said, ‘Nah, you won’t do that, you’re not that crazy.’
“She went to work today and I had the day off from work, and I went down and I got it tattooed on me, and there it is.”
The correctional dietary officer will be hoping the Pirates can finally deliver some silverware to their long-suffering supporters, because if not, Broadwater is going to have a lifelong reminder on his calf of just how big a disappointment their 2015 campaign was.
“If they don’t win it all, then I guess I’m just one of those fans like the Cowboys or Lions, someone that has the ink on my body,” Broadwater said.
“There’s no way I can cover it up. It’s there, so I’m praying for the best.”
