MICK Potter's coaching job is safe and the Wests Tigers have now formally named his assistants.

Finally, some stability at Concord. On Monday, the Tigers named Todd Payten and David Kidwell as Potter’s coaching assistants with ex-Parramatta Toyota Cup coach Andrew Webster the Wests Tigers’ new Holden Cup coach.

Kidwell and Payten will replace Royce Simmons and Steve Georgallis.

After months of speculation, Potter is now absolutely certain to take Wests Tigers into the 2014 season.

"Our commitment right through was that this review was about structure, no personnel," said Wests Tigers chief executive Grant Mayer.

"The club’s board signed off on the structure some weeks ago.

"Mick and myself have been working on populating that structure."

Webster has previously coached at Wests Tigers in junior representative sides and knows many of the club’s rising stars, including halfback Luke Brooks.

"Todd has wealth of playing experience and now a couple of years of NYC coaching under his belt," Potter said.

"This is the natural next step in his coaching progression and he will be a valuable addition to our staff at NRL level.

"David will bring a hardened edge to the team and certainly has a great philosophy on rugby league.

"His uncompromising approach to the game combined with his own ideas will only benefit our squad."
