NSW Origin preparations have been thrown into disarray after Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah was today ruled out of action for up to six weeks with an elbow injury.
Farah dislocated his elbow in the final minutes of Saturday night’s win against the Cowboys and was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment.
The news is a blow for Blues coach Laurie Daley and his preparations for the Origin series on May 28 at Suncorp Stadium. It’s understood Daley is now considering Bulldogs skipper Michael Ennis, Newcastle utility Kurt Gildey and Parramatta rake Nathan Peats.
Even if Farah heals quicker than expected, he is unlikely to play before the Blues team is announced.
