But while the Panthers and Storm have earned a week off, the two games in week two will see a 2019 Grand Final rematch between the Sydney Roosters and the Canberra Raiders on Friday night, while the Parramatta Eels will host the South Sydney Rabbitohs at the scene of the 38-0 thrashing just five games ago.

To become the first team since the 1981-83 Parramatta Eels to claim the three-peat, the Roosters will need to beat the Raiders, Storm and then the winner of the other side of the draw with features the Eels, Rabbitohs and Panthers.
But speaking on Triple M’s Sunday Sin-Bin Brisbane legend Gorden Tallis ran a line through the side saying the defending champs are “running on empty”.
“I don’t know if they can keep getting themselves up the Roosters,” he said. “They’ve had a great run, they’re a champion side and a champion club but I don’t know how much fuel they got left in the tank.
“They’re just not good enough anymore, I don’t think.”
He added that they couldn’t hit the gas on Friday night in the loss to the Panthers and he said they “looked old and tired”.
Tallis even predicted the Raiders to end the Roosters’ run.
