THE Warriors have confirmed the signing of Broncos forward Adam Blair, with the veteran prop signing a three-year contract from 2018.
The Courier-Mail revealed last month that the New Zealand team were the front runners to sign the 31-year-old, who was given permission to look at other clubs despite having one year left on his contract with Brisbane.
That deal was finally confirmed this morning, with the Kiwi skipper to return to his birth nation after the World Cup.
Warriors CEO Cameron George said the signing was “critical” to the club’s “quest for much-needed improvement”.

“He’s a proven leader on and off the field who sets the kind of example we want all our players to aspire to,” George said in a statement.
“(He’s) the epitome of the professional athlete who demands the highest of standards highlighted by an ultra-competitive attitude.”
Warriors coach Steve Kearney worked with Blair both at the Broncos and through the Kiwi side.
He said Blair is a “wonderful example” of how an NRL player should conduct himself.
