TITANS coach Neil Henry says five-eighth Tyrone Roberts could be a late inclusion for Saturday’s clash against the Dragons.
Roberts has missed the past two weeks with a knee complaint but trained strongly on Wednesday.
If he pulls up well after Friday’s captain’s run, he will return to the NRL in place of rookie Cameron Cullen.
“He was reasonably sharp at training the other day,” Henry said of Roberts.
“We’ll do some contact work then make a call.
“He was still a little sore early in the week but if he’s right to go (he will play).
“Cullo did a fine job last week but we missed Tyrone’s experience a little bit.”
Henry said hookers Nathan Friend and Daniel Mortimer had recovered well after copping head knocks in last Sunday’s loss to the Sharks.
Eddy Pettybourne will come into the 17 in place of suspended lock Greg Bird, who will likely be replaced in the starting side by Agnatius Paasi.
The Dragons will head to Cbus Super Stadium looking to break a run of bad losses after falling 36-0 and 26-0 to the Cowboys and Broncos in successive trips to Queensland.
