WESTS Tigers skipper Robbie Farah and CEO Grant Mayer shared their first exchange in almost a fortnight on Wednesday — and it wasn’t cordial.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal Mayer approached Farah in the dressing rooms at Concord Oval after training, and invited the unhappy hooker to thrash out their issues over a cup of coffee.

RIFTS, LEAKS, FUTURE: FARAH TELLS ALL

UNDER FIRE FARAH WILL NOT QUIT TIGERS

Farah declined the offer with a couple of terse replies. While there were no heated words or raised voices, the 30-year-old made it clear he was in no mood to chat with Mayer prior to Saturday night’s must-win game against North Queensland in Townsville.

Farah’s relationship with Wests Tigers CEO is strained, to say the least.

The exchange was witnessed by at least one other player, who felt uncomfortable upon seeing the stand-off.

In his interview with The Footy Show, Farah finally lifted the lid on his disappointment with Mayer.

Farah is angry that Mayer did not offer enough immediate support when Gorden Tallis revealed he had been critical of coach Mick Potter’s communication methods the previous season. Farah has interpreted the silence as an internal campaign to unfairly paint him as the engineer of Potter’s sacking, which was supposed to occur at a board meeting two Sundays ago.

TIGERS BOSS FAILED THE PLAYERS: FARAH

Mayer has a personal commitment that will prevent him from travelling to Townsville this weekend. That means the chill between he and Farah might not get a chance to thaw until next week.

Mayer declined to make any comment when contacted on Thursday.

Farah’s agent, Sam Ayoub, said his client just wanted to concentrate on football for the time being.
