Manly halfback Trent Hodkinson is set to announce his retirement from rugby league.

Hodkinson played 10 seasons of NRL after making his debut with Manly back in 2010, he played 174 games with four clubs — Manly, Canterbury, Newcastle and Cronulla.

His most remarkable achievement however was leading NSW to a historic 2014 State of Origin series win over Queensland.

“Unfortunately, due to a new injury sustained earlier this year, numerous medical procedures and intensive rehabilitation, I have been forced to give up the game that I love and will be medically retiring from rugby league,’’ Hodkinson said.
