With the Broncos having the bye, Queensland’s other two NRL clubs will have their finals hopes on the line in away games.
The Cowboys (11th) play the Dragons (12th) at Jubilee Oval without Origin representatives Johnathan Thurston and James Tamou and another loss on the road would virtually end their top-eight hopes for 2014.
The Dragons were good against Storm last weekend and Jubilee is their fortress so the challenge is there for the Cowboys.
On Monday night, the Titans travel to ANZ Stadium to take on the Rabbitohs, who will be intent on bouncing back after last week’s loss to the Cowboys in Townsville.
The Titans are anchored on 16 points after six losses on the trot after a promising start to 2014 when they won six from the first eight matches.
