With Chris Anderson quitting to fight a business battle and Steve Price stepping down to take a full-time role at the club, Mortimer and Thomas will be named as the new club directors.

Part of the famous trio of brothers that also included Chris, Mortimer helped turn the Bulldogs into the family club by playing alongside his famous siblings in four grand finals.

Playing 190 game for the Bulldogs in a one-club career, Mortimer won three premierships with Canterbury before going on to become a wine entrepreneur in Orange.

Mortimer also worked in marketing, as a reporter and had a stint as the Sharks CEO.

A premiership winner with the Bulldogs in 1988, Thomas will join Mortimer on the new look board headed by chairwomen Lynne Anderson.
