BRONCOS skipper Darius Boyd has backed Wayne Bennett’s stance to not drop any players regardless of form, saying there is no reason to change the Brisbane line-up.
Bennett came out last week in defence of a number of his players, declaring he will stick by them this season.
The stand came after former Bronco Chris Walker wrote a column for the Queensland Rugby League website calling for Sam Thaiday to retire immediately or risk getting the axe to Intrust Super Cup.

The Brisbane coach then returned serve by saying Thaiday would not be dropped this season, nor would underfire halves pairing Anthony Milford and Kodi Nikorima.
While it’s a bold stance to take so early in the season, Boyd agreed with Bennett.
He said the 17 they have at the moment is the best team available and nothing will change that.
“There’s never reason to change,” he said.
“We know what works for us and while we’re not playing our best, it’s got nothing to do with changing players and dropping people and that type of stuff.
“This is the best team that we’re putting out each week that we know can get the job done … a few bad results is no reason to throw the towel in.”
Boyd also said nothing was set to change with their attacking style, even though assistant Jason Demetriou had replaced Kevin Walters as the attacking coach.
The Broncos suffered their third loss of the season against Newcastle last week and now face an even bigger challenge on Saturday when they head across the ditch to take on the competition-leading Warriors.
Boyd said even though they were defeated by last year’s wooden spooners, there were a lot of positives for Brisbane to take away.
“While we didn’t get the result (against Newcastle), we had a lot of chances to get the result,” he said.
“It just an execution thing. It’s just that final play, that final pass.
“Ideally we would have loved to seize those opportunities and got the result from it but the rest of it was good so we need to knuckle down before the Warriors game.
“It’s a result-driven business … but if we can play the same way (as last week) and pick up those little areas, we can get the job done.”
