THE Broncos have dismissed injury concerns surrounding star playmaker Anthony Milford, who failed to finish training this morning.
The 21-year-old hit the sheds 15 minutes before the end of training this morning, complaining of some issues around his groin.
He did not return to the training paddock and instead spent some time with Brisbane’s physio and trainers.
But teammate Alex Glenn said the young star will be fine for Saturday’s clash against Penrith, claiming the issue was just “tightness” in his groin.
“It’s nothing major,” Glenn said.
“Milf is all good. He didn’t want to overdo it at training today.
“He had a light session and then he has the day off tomorrow and he will come back on Friday for the captain’s run. He will be sweet.”
Milford was one of six players who failed to do a complete training run, with Glenn also finishing up early with some soreness in his Achilles.
Josh McGuire and Darius Boyd ran with a modified program due to niggling injuries, while Jordan Kahu and James Roberts started off slow as they continue recovery from injuries they suffered after the opening round.
All should be cleared for Saturday’s match.
