Team news: French skipper Jason Baitieri has sensationally quit the tour, citing a “lack of professionalism”. The Catalans backrower was one of the few French elite players to make the trip and his exclusion will be a bitter blow to Les Chanticleers.

Team news: Mal Meninga has made eight changes to the team that beat Tonga at the end of last year with Nick Cotric, Jack Wighton, Josh Addo-Carr, Payne Haas and Paul Vaughan all making their Australian debuts. Josh Papalii has been cleared to play his first Test since 2016 and will start at prop.

The Canberra prop has been battling rib and chest injuries suffered in the NRL grand final.

“He’s a relentless front-rower who’s never going to stop going forward both with his defence and his attack,” said vice captain Daly Cherry-Evans.
