Storm star Ryan Papenhuyzen’s hopes of an Origin call-up have been dashed due to a positive Covid test result. Find out who’s in and who’s out for your team this weekend.

Ryan Papenhuyzen’s return to the NRL will be delayed due to a positive COVID-19 test.

The fullback was named on the extended bench for Storm’s round 15 match with Brisbane on Friday night but will now have to spend seven days in isolation.

Papenhuyzen returned a positive RAT yesterday which was confirmed by a positive PCR overnight. The news is a blow to his hopes of making the NSW squad for the second game of the State of Origin series.

His replacement in the squad of 22 will be named later on Wednesday.

Team news: Asu Kepaoa replaces the suspended Brent Naden at centre though the Tigers also have Adam Doueihi as an option after he was named to make his return from an ACL injury via the bench.
