Super Saturday had a bit of everything with big scorelines, premiership statements and plenty to digest in the SuperCoach world.

A number of big guns rewarded patience with big scores, including Manly fullback Tom Trbojevic who looked the goods.

He was one of three players to reach the ton in the 5.30pm contest, with Daly Cherry-Evans and Dylan Edwards also raising the bat.

Jeremy Marshall-King continued his good form for the Dolphins while Shaun Johnson was at his best for the Warriors.

We acknowledge the SuperCoach NRL Winners and Losers from Super Saturday.

12. Jamayne Isaako (41) - One of the premier CTW’s but didn’t see much of it tonight.

13. Cameron Murray (45) - Well below par score and was benched during the game.

DOLPHINS VS TIGERS

FULL-TIME Dolphins 26-16: The Dolphins held off a late Wests Tigers charge in what proved to be a costly contest injury wise for both teams.

Herbie Farnworth and Tom Flegler failed to finish the game for the Dolphins with John Bateman and Samuela Fainu both suffering head knocks.

Jeremy Marshall-King got the better of brother and Wests Tigers coach Benji, topping the SuperCoach points for his side with 81.

In a complete turnaround from the first half, the Tigers ended up dominating the top 10 with seven players in the list.

Stay tuned for the Winners and Losers from Super Saturday.

75th minute - Dolphins 26-16: Alex Seyfarth keeps the Tigers alive after crashing over on the back of a nice Api Koroisau pass.

But Herbie Farnworth was left in agonising pain with what appears to be a pectoral injury during the attempted tackle.

It comes with Tom Flegler icing his shoulder on the sideline.

69th minute - Dolphins 26-10: Jeremy Marshall-King has helped the Dolphins go bang bang.

He slices through the defence from dummy half and finds Kenny Bromwich on his inside to score and push the lead out past two converted tries.

Marshall-King has shot clear on the SuperCoach leaderboard with 82 points for the game.

65th minute - Dolphins 20-10: Stop it Isaiya Katoa.

A beautiful grubber catches out the Tigers defence and Kodi Nikorima pounces to give the Dolphins some breathing room.

They needed that badly because the Tigers were starting to come.

Nikorima hits 55 points with Katoa up to 49.

57th minute - Dolphins 14-10: Wow!

Solomona Faataape has his second try and the Wests Tigers are back in business.

He got on the end of a nice grubber from Sezer and with 23 minutes to go they are a good shot at landing the comeback.

The rookie has 47 points now with Sezer sitting on 51.

55th minute - Dolphins 14-6: In a massive boost for the Tigers, Koroisau is back on the field.

Their skipper returned in the 51st minute for Bud Sullivan with Latu Fainu and Aidan Sezer remaining in the halves.

Papali’i is the new top SuperCoach scorer with 52 points, five ahead of Charlie Staines.

48th minute - Dolphins 14-6: The Tigers are on the board and they have their tails up now.

Solomona Faataape gets on the end of a lovely offload from Charlie Staines to score his first ever NRL try.

With Koroisau off the conversions are being taken by Aidan Sezer, who slots the first one with ease.

It came after John Bateman failed his HIA and Samuela Fainu undergoing was deemed a Category 1 after copping a high shot.

18th man Brent Naden has now been activated.

In some encouraging news for the Tigers, Koroisau has returned to the bench and is on the stationary bike.

HALFTIME – Dolphins 14-0: The task at hand for the Wests Tigers is huge.

John Bateman is undergoing a HIA after copping an accidental knee to the head and Api Koroisau, who was reported to have a quad complaint coming into the game, is also off.

The Dolphins have looked the far better team and have taken their chances, with the Tigers lacking the final punch needed to post points.

It’s all the Dolphins in the top SuperCoach scorers at the half with just two Tigers in the top 10.

Over 44,000 SuperCoaches with Koroisau in their side will be hoping he comes back in the second half, with just 17 points to his name.

He’s replaced by rookie Latu Fainu who moves to five-eighth with Bud Sullivan going into hooker.

28th minute - Dolphins 14-0: How good is it to see Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow in full flight?

It started with a break from Felise Kaufusi as he made the Tigers defence look silly, bursting through a heap of tackles to bring him to Bula.

A flying Hammer caught up and sprinted away when given the ball to score an outstanding try.

Kaufusi is now the leading scorer with 40 and Tabuai-Fidow rises to 27.

Jeremy Marshall-King has also climbed to 28.

17th minute - Dolphins 6-0: It’s the big boys who are producing the points early.

Jesse Bromwich (20) and Tom Flegler (18) are on fire for the Dolphins with David Klemmer (17) and Stefano Utoikamanu (18) playing well for the Tigers.

Wests Tigers are starting to ask questions of the Dolphins defence though with a forward pass from Jahream Bula to Justin Olam seeing them just miss out on a try.

7th minute - Dolphins 4-0: Hot start from the Dolphins with Jack Bostock showing what he can do in open space.

He races down the sideline and passes inside to Isaiya Katoa to cross with ease.

The winger has 33 early points with Katoa now on 20.

7.30PM: There are no personnel changes with the Dolphins and Wests Tigers.

Kenny Bromwich will step into a starting role with Ray Stone to come from the bench.

Lachlan Galvin is of course suspended after his hip drop on Easter Monday, with Latu Fainu (5/8 $204,300) coming onto the bench.

He is currently owned by 1923 SuperCoaches who are hoping he can have a similar impact to Galvin.

Bud Sullivan (5/8/HFB $391,400) has averaged just 14 points in two games so far, but will start tonight and get his chance to show why he deserves more minutes.

Oryn Keeley and Brent Naden wear the No. 18 jersey for their respective teams.

SEA EAGLES VS WARRIORS

FULL-TIME Manly 32-18: On a record-breaking night for Manly it’s fitting that Daly Cherry-Evans tops the SuperCoach count.

He starred in the second half and cracked the century in the process on the night he became the most capped Sea Eagle.

Reuben Garrick and Liam Henry owners both suffered head knocks in their short stints and are in danger of missing next week’s fixtures.

70th minute - Manly 32-18: Do you believe in miracles?

Penrith is back on the board after Luke Garner gets himself into space and finds a chasing Dylan Edwards to gift the fullback his second try of the evening.

The margin is back to 14 points with 10 minutes remaining.

67th minute - Manly 32-12: Take a bow Daly Cherry-Evans.

He has taken over this contest in the second half and another piece of brilliance sees him pit Jaxson Paulo over in the corner.

They’re on fire and Penrith is as good as done for the night.

DCE now sits on 90 SuperCoach points and is catching up to Tom Trbojevic.

59th minute - Manly 26-12: Manly goes back-to-back.

A loose ball wasn’t taken by Penrith close to the line and Corey Waddell is the beneficiary, showing far more desire to get on it and he’s rewarded with a try.

Penrith is in massive danger here.

57th minute - Manly 20-12: It just had to be Daly Cherry-Evans.

He linked beautifully with Tom Trbojevic to really put the skids on Penrith’s momentum, scoring under the post after running the ball on the last.

The assist pushes Tommy Turbo up to 94 points and DCE is firing with 72.

52nd minute - Manly 14-12: Penrith is starting to heat up.

They’re building pressure on Manly’s line but for now can’t find the knockout blow to put them back in front.

Todd Smith correctly identifies an obstruction committed by the Panthers, with the Bunker correctly agreeing with his call.

47th minute - Manly 14-12: Take a bow Dylan Edwards.

He regathers a kick from DCE to run 85m and break the line with ease to race away and get the Panthers back to within two points.

Edwards is the new leader on 75 points with Trbojevic on 67.

HALF-TIME - Manly 14-6: Everything is going Manly’s way, including the Bunker.

A controversial try was given by referee Todd Smith after Tolutau Koula raced the best part of 90m to score.

The only problem was Tommy Talau dropped the ball in the lead-up to the try, and he knew it.

The centre gave himself up with his facial expressions after clearly fumbling possession when trying to take an intercept, but the Bunker decided to confirm the try to add to its long list of blunders to start the year.

8. Isaah Yeo 30

9. Haumole Olakau’atu 29

10. Toafofoa Sipley 27

33rd minute - Manly 8-6: A penalty goal gives Manly their first lead of the contest.

They’ve looked the much better team throughout the first half, particularly over the last 20 minutes.

Now Liam Henry is in big danger of being ruled out for the game after getting up stumbling from a big collision with Nathan Brown from the ensuing kick-off.

He’s off for a HIA.

30th minute - 6-all: Tommy Turbo is back.

His SuperCoach score was below par last week but he’s on the way to making it up in the best possible way with Manly’s first points of the evening.

Daly Cherry-Evans is kicking in place of Garrick’s absence and he slots the conversion from near the sideline.

Trbojevic has 47 points with Luke Brook’s lead-up work helping him to 31.

20th minute - Panthers 6-0: Brian To’o has gone inches away from scoring, reaching out but just dropping the ball short of the line.

Manly has settled but can’t make any inroads despite having some good opportunities.

Luke Garner has quietly produced 23 points with Taniela Paseka the best of Manly’s players with 15.

10th minute - Panthers 6-0: After a sluggish opening, Dylan Edwards responds in style to set up Penrith’s first try.

He beat a defender and put Brad Schneider into a gaping hole to score untouched.

The pair of Panthers have 31 SuperCoach points early doors.

Reuben Garrick is out for the game after copping a head knock. Photo: Cameron Spencer/Getty Images

4th minute - 0-all: It’s been an eventful start.

An early brain fade from Dylan Edwards where he passed to nobody went unpunished after Lachlan Croker fumbled soon after.

Reuben Garrick was left dazed after copping an accidental shoulder to the head from Jaxson Paulo when making a tackle.

He has been deemed a Category 1 and will take no further part.

5.30PM: We are off and running at Brookvale on a special night for Daly Cherry-Evans.

Who will prevail, Manly or Penrith?

5PM: Both the Sea Eagles and Panthers are 1-17 from their teams named on Tuesday.

The big inclusion for Penrith is the return of James Fisher-Harris (FRF $515,500) who will come onto the bench with Lindsay Smith (FRF $490,200) starting.

Ethan Bullemor was a late omission last week when wearing the 18 jersey and has again not been picked in the 17.

Brad Schneider (HLF $328,000) has been a popular trade in for SuperCoaches after scoring 59 points last week, with players hoping to make some quick cash with Nathan Cleary set to return from injury shortly.

Daly Cherry-Evans (HLF $669,200) will break the record for most games played for Manly.

Bullemor and Soni Luke have been named as 18th men.

RABBITOHS VS WARRIORS

FULL-TIME - Warriors 34-4: Aside from a hot five minutes to start the game, South Sydney offered no resistance as a rampaging Warriors ran out 34-4 victors.

Shaun Johnson’s two tries and two try assists led the way for New Zealand as they recorded their third-straight win.

104 points for Johnson and 94 from Te Maire Martin led a halves masterclass compared to 9 points for Dean Hawkins and 26 for Cody Walker.

74th minute - Warriors 34-4: It’s getting ugly now.

Te Maire Martin steps his way through the Rabbitohs defence to score the Warriors’ sixth try of the day and push the margin out to 30.

He’s been superb today and should be able to lock up the five-eighth jersey as Chanel Harris-Tavita prepares to enter the field for Shaun Johnson, who leaves the field with an even 100 SC points.

Martin is now sitting pretty on 91 SuperCoach points.

65th minute - Warriors 28-4: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is on the board in game 200.

One of the most likeable players in the game did extremely well in limited space to touch down in the corner and get on the board.

RTS has shot up to 54 points and has relegated the Rabbitohs to a new low in the process.

Shaun Johnson has cracked the century and Jackson Ford is on 80.

60th minute - Warriors 24-4: 20 minutes to go and 20 points is the mountain the Rabbitohs need to conquer.

Who will step up for them?

Peter Mamouzelos is still yet to be sighted while Dean Hawkins and Cody Walker (9 and 18 SC Points respectively) cannot click as a unit.

Shaun Johnson creeps closer to the century with 97 points.

50th minute - Warriors 24-4: It’s Shaun Johnson again.

He has a double and the Warriors are giving the Rabbitohs a hiding.

Wayde Egan was able to get through way too easily from dummy half with an offload to Te Maire Martin, putting him into open space and he easily drew the fullback to give Johnson his second.

There is just zero resolve from this Rabbitohs defence and they are being busted up the middle.

Johnson is nearing a century with 94 points and Egan has improved to 54 for the afternoon.

HALFTIME - Warriors 18-4: It’s a carve up here.

The Warriors are flying into the sheds after Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad busted through the line and put Shaun Johnson over for the easiest of tries after they had a three-on-one.

South Sydney are in all sorts of trouble while SJ owners are laughing all the way to the bank.

Johnson leads all SuperCoach scores with 75 with Jackson Ford on 65.

Rabbitohs halfback Dean Hawkins has just four while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is missing out on the Warriors points galore, scoring just 16.

6. Rocco Berry 40

7. Wayde Egan 33

8. Keaon Koloamatangi 32

9. Jacob Host 30

10. Mitch Barnett 29

37th minute - Warriors 12-4: The Warriors have struck again with Jackson Ford crashing over from close range.

They now lead by eight in the shadows of halftime and are looking strong.

Ford rockets up to 62 SuperCoach points and Shaun Johnson now has 48.

34th minute - Warriors 6-4: Latrell Mitchell has been placed on report for the second time today.

This time he was penalised for a hand between the legs and placing Warriors captain Tohu Harris in a dangerous position.

He seems at long odds to be playing next week given his judiciary history.

On the SuperCoach front, Izaac Tu’itupou Thompson has 53 points with Mitchell on 41.

25th minute - Warriors 6-4: South Sydney has been doing well to hold on.

The Warriors were camped deep in Rabbitohs territory for what seemed to be an eternity, but they didn’t buckle.

Tevita Tatola and Jacob Host are sneaking up the SC points with 24, with Tom Burgess not far behind on 22.

20th minute - Warriors 6-4: There were concerns about the weather, but both teams are playing an expansive style of football.

The surface looks nothing like the quagmire of last night.

Latrell Mitchell has been placed on report for an elbow to the face of Shaun Johnson after he was standing in tackle and is somewhat lucky not to be spending some time in the sin bin.

12th minute - Warriors 6-4: And just like that the Warriors hit back.

A dropped ball gave the visitors a set deep in Souths’ territory and Shaun Johnson made them pay with a lovely ball to Rocco Berry who simply had to fall over the line.

Berry and Thompson now top the SuperCoach points tallies with 35 apiece.

8th minute - Rabbitohs 4-0: South Sydney have started best and now they’ve made the Warriors pay.

In his first game of the season, Izaac Tu’itupou Thompson scores after stepping Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad in what was a very poor attempted tackle from the fullback.

Tevita Tatola has started well with 11 SC points, while Thompson has 35

3PM: We are underway at Homebush with the Rabbitohs hunting their second win of the season and the Warriors looking to enter the top eight.

Who will come out on top?

2.30PM: It will be interesting to see what role Peter Mamouzelos (HOK $243,000) plays for the Rabbitohs today.

With Damien Cook playing his best game of the year against the Bulldogs last week, at what point will we see the Greek representative?

We saw Jason Demetriou start Siliva Havili at hooker in round three against the Roosters and it backfired, with the Tongan international not seen in first grade since.

After scoring 92 last week, Cook (HOK $611,700) has been traded in by 651 SuperCoaches.

After being dropped last week, Sean Keppie (FRF $375,600) returns to the interchange for Souths, but he has been a popular sell with 1462 trades out compared to just five SuperCoaches bringing him into their squads.

Adam Pompey (CTW $467,100) will play his second game of the season after scoring 48 points in his only outing. He’s been named in the centres with RTS reverting to the wing.

Wayde Egan (HOK $576,100) is another big inclusion for the Warriors, averaging 51.5 points in his two games. He scored 69 points last week and with Freddy Lussick just sent from the field in NSW Cup, he has a lock on the hooking role in first grade.

2PM: There’s plenty of late changes for both sides as the Rabbitohs take on the Warriors at Accor Stadium.

Peter Mamouzelos comes onto the bench in place of Davvy Moale, who will be the 18th man after playing NSW Cup.

Sean Keppie is in the side with the absence of Shaq Mitchell due to a head knock, with Izaac Tu’itupou Thompson on the wing in place of the injured Alex Johnston.

Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is back in Warriors colours for the first time this year with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck now moving to the wing.

Adam Pompey is in for Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Bunty Afoa comes into the starting squad in place of Marata Niukore. Jacob Laban comes onto the bench with Chanel Harris-Tavita also on the interchange.

Te Maire Martin will wear the No. 6 jersey with Luke Metcalf out for an extended period.

It’s a triple-header for Super Saturday with plenty on the line across all three games.

Kicking off Saturday action is the Rabbitohs hosting the Warriors.

EARLIER: The Warriors were dealt a late double blow on Friday with Marata Niukore and Dallin Watene-Zelezniak ruled out with injuries, the latter of which had been averaging an impressive 72 points over his last three games.

The Sea Eagles have been grounded over the past two matches and face an almighty test with the Panthers coming to 4 Pines Park, still missing superstar playmaker Nathan Cleary with a hamstring injury.

Finally, the league-leading Dolphins host the Wests Tigers, with the Balmain side high on confidence following a one-point victory over the Eels in round four.

Here are some of the big SuperCoach questions ahead of Saturday’s action:

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck returns to the centres in round five. Picture: Hannah Peters/Getty Images
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck returns to the centres in round five. Picture: Hannah Peters/Getty Images

Despite a terrific performance, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck ($612,300) saw a drop off in score from his average of 64.5 when moved to fullback last week.

With Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad ($682,500) returning to the no. 1 jersey, RTS is back to the centres, with his massive 43.4% ownership hoping he can serve up some big points as he did in rounds two (75) and three (79).

Blaize Talagi is a new SuperCoach favourite. Picture: Matt King/Getty Images
Blaize Talagi is a new SuperCoach favourite. Picture: Matt King/Getty Images

Blaize Talagi ($204,300) is the most traded in player this week, with a whopping 43,000+ SuperCoaches welcoming the Parramatta young gun into their halves.

He’s averaged an impressive 57.5 points from the first two NRL games of his career, performing well for his price tag in both centre and five-eighth.

Can he keep up his good form to please his new owners?

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been raking in the points this season. Picture: Chris Hyde/Getty Images
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been raking in the points this season. Picture: Chris Hyde/Getty Images

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow ($692,100) is averaging a massive 95 points this season and is fresh off a 112-point haul in round four.

Only Kayal Iro is averaging more than him (97), with that score coming from just one game.

The Hammer has been picked up by 9,000+ owners this week, can he keep his incredible scoring run going?

Ben Trbojevic is the most owned player in the game. Picture: Mark Metcalfe/Getty Images
Ben Trbojevic is the most owned player in the game. Picture: Mark Metcalfe/Getty Images

It was hit-or-miss for Manly assets in round four, with their two most owned SuperCoach players Ben Trbojevic ($310,500) and Luke Brooks ($576,400) putting up just 36 and 29 points respectively.

Tom Trbojevic ($777,000) also had a disasterclass by his high standards, but still managed 55 points. Can these SuperCoach favourites bounce back in round five?

Addin Fonua-Blake ($708,900) is owned by over a quarter of SuperCoaches, disappointing them with just 43 points in round four.

Averaging 57 points per game, he’s well below his 2023 average of 68.

So far this season, his scoring has been one game good, then not so good the next, so the question is, will this trend continue and see AFB pull off a big haul in round five?

SuperCoach history says no, with the big prop forward not performing overly well against the Rabbitohs in the past. Time will tell.
