The NRL season shutdown has caused a reshuffle to KFC SuperCoach draft settings but leagues now have some new options. Here are the changes you need to know about for 2020.

Footy is (almost) back and with it comes a host of forced changes to KFC SuperCoach, but players will finally be able to get their Draft hit again!
We’re living through crazy times and the changes are unfortunate, but thankfully the biggest change means leagues now have the option to start over from scratch if the shutdown period has stuffed up your preparation!
Maybe you flopped at the draft, maybe the rule changes have stuffed you around, or maybe your league just needs a redraft to get back into the KFC SuperCoach frame of mind. Let’s take a look at how KFC SuperCoach Draft will hopefully look for the rest of the year.

Re-drafts
As mentioned before the biggest change to Draft is the option for leagues to start over if needed! After eight plus weeks of no footy there will definitely be some leagues who will want or need a fresh start, especially considering some of the other changes to the game.
If users want to restart their Draft league from scratch and do a redraft, they should contact Vapormedia directly (click “help” in the KFC SuperCoach game, then click “contact us” and fill out the form, giving your league code and saying you need to re-start).
This will mean the first two rounds of the season we already had will become null and void and your ladder will reset.
Think carefully before you decide to do this and maybe put it to the league for a vote, since you won’t be able to get your old league back.
Season Length changed
Given the changes to the actual league competition no longer being 25 rounds the draft match schedule will also need to be changed accordingly.
Leagues that extend beyond 20 rounds will be scaled back to fit within a 20-round season, including any finals series option as elected by any league.
Unfortunately this will be annoying for some leagues, especially those with more than 10 people, but blame that damn coronavirus!
No bye rounds!
Given the new NRL draw will not have any bye rounds, the league option to skip bye rounds has been removed to allow for maximum available rounds of gameplay, given there are no bye-impacted rounds expected under revised fixture.
If your league was started with the intention of playing through the byes and you all drafted with the byes in mind I’d be inclined to take up the option of doing a redraft.

Apart from all these changes Draft gameplay will continue as usual, with new rules kicking in on May 12 and the SuperCoach resuming on May 28th. As per above, users can contact Vapormedia via the “contact us” form within KFC SuperCoach to redraft and restart leagues if they wish (which would void Rounds 1 and 2).
Changes are still subject to any alterations to the proposed NRL schedule and are still yet to be reflected in our competition terms and conditions.
