More trades, more flexibility, more fun — welcome to KFC SuperCoach NRL 2022.
With round two about to kick-off, one of the biggest issues facing SuperCoaches — and world sport for that matter — is Covid.
It has the potential to tear any KFC SuperCoach side apart.
Canberra already lost Brad Schneider earlier this week to Covid, while injuries continue to hit hard with Brandon Smith (hand), Shaun Johnson (pec) and Sean Russell (ribs) among the casualties.
Over the off-season we devised a host of game changes to make KFC SuperCoach fairer for all — more trades (up to 42), the Trade Boost tool (get an extra trade five times per year) and the ability to change trades after lockout (more below).

MORE TRADES
Increased to 42 (up from 37) to account for Covid disruptions and stricter concussion protocols.
TRADE BOOST
Perfect for those who copped a host of injuries in round one, or simply for those who completely stuffed their initial side. Instead of just the regular two trades this week, up it to three by activating your Trade Boost. The Trade Boost can be used five times during the season and now is the perfect time to use one so you can get your side right at the start of the season. These bonus trades come out of your total of 42. You can choose to use some, all or none of your five available Trade Boosts. The Trade Boost option replaces Super Trade Week.
TRADE ASSIST (SUPERCOACH PLUS)
This option is only available in SuperCoach Plus. Your free trial ends at the completion of this round so have a fiddle! Use our smart technology to help with every step of the selection process: Intelligent Auto-Pick helps pick a team fast, the Optimise button helps select the best team from your 30-player squad each round and new Intelligent Auto-Trade suggests the best move for your team every round.

CHANGE TRADES AFTER LOCKOUT
Change your trade plans during a round? Now as well as the beloved reverse trades button (only available before lockout) you have ultimate flexibility to adjust your moves after lockout.
PLAYER POSITION UPDATES
At regular intervals during the season, the KFC SuperCoach team will reassess player positions and assign dual-position status to players if their on-field role changes. The updates will be provided ahead of rounds six, 12 and 18.
CUSTOMISABLE LEAGUES
Any experienced KFC SuperCoach knows public and private leagues are where the real action is at. Now you can tailor your league:
– Create and join leagues at any time during the season
– Create private leagues of 6-20 teams, customise your fixture by selecting your start round and finals system (top five, top six or top eight)
– Select custom secondary rankings: percentage or total fantasy points
LEAGUE FINALS SERIES
The league finals have been brought forward a round and will now conclude in round 24. This is because mass resting of players in round 25 creates an uneven playing field for the league grand final.
Other new features for SuperCoach Plus users include:
– See the most popular vice-captains each round
– As well as ownership numbers for every player, see how many users picked every player in their starting line-up or on the bench
– Traded in/out for upcoming round now on every player’s profile page.
– A 12-month $24.95 subscription to SuperCoach Plus covers all four sports: KFC SuperCoach NRL, KFC SuperCoach AFL, KFC SuperCoach BBL and SuperCoach Racing.
