Steve Renouf picks his Maroons team for Game One of Origin

If there’s anyone who knows a thing or two about what it takes to succeed for the Maroons it’s our former Origin greats.

So we’ve been asking them who they think should suit up for Game One.

Yesterday we looked at Michael Crocker’s team for the opening match – which threw up a few interesting choices – and today it’s Queensland legend Steve Renouf.

Going for a big bench, Renouf has left the likes of Anthony Milford on the sidelines while keeping Matt Scott in the wings and giving Broncos young gun David Fifita a run.

Like many of our selectors, Christian Welch was originally in the starting line-up but was a late change after his injury over the weekend, replaced in Renouf’s team by Dylan Napa.
