NSW have been forced to rearrange part of their preparation for Origin II because up to 11 players will be competing in the two NRL games on Monday.

The Blues must alter their Coffs Harbour camp travel plans and fly in earlier than originally planned because players won’t have time for recovery sessions after their Monday matches.

The Blues flew to Coffs at 6pm on the Tuesday before Origin I. That departure time has now been dragged forward to 10.45am so that players can do their recovery in camp.

The 11 players in action for their clubs on Monday are Josh Dugan, Will Hopoate, Josh Morris, Trent Hodkinson, James Tamou, Josh Jackson, Trent Merrin, David Klemmer, Tyson Frizell and possibly Brett Morris and Josh Reynolds.

Recovery at the Novotel in Coffs Harbour is set down for 1.30pm on Tuesday. The team is now due to be announced at around 8am that day before players jump straight on to a plane. The team will leave for Melbourne on a charter flight next Sunday morning.

Once in Melbourne, NSW coach Laurie Daley will seek a meeting with NRL referees boss Tony Archer to discuss the lack of 10m in Origin I and how Queensland escaped punishment for a number of niggling incidents.

“There are issues I will take up with the appropriate people,” Daley told The Loz and Dog show, which appears on Telegraph.com.au.

“We were unhappy with some things that happened in the game but I will go through the proper process.

“But we’re not going to blame those things as the reasons why we lost. We need to be better and we will be better.”

Pressed on the lack of 10m, Daley said: “You will find clips of both sides but I thought at times we never got a chance to do what we wanted to do.

“We are a really good team on the way up. I really like what we can do but we just have to get better at doing it.”
