THE 2018 State of Origin series is almost upon us and as the NRL goal posts replace the AFL sticks at the MCG Phil Rothfield looks at the issues most likely to define the success - or failure - of game one.
Rothfield penned an open letter to NRL boss Todd Greenberg to let Wednesday’s clash between the Blues and Maroons flow.

Rothfield also pointed out how Origin was affecting crowds at club matches during the round 13 bye round.
