Sam Burgess couldn’t resist a classic pest move when he saw former Rabbitohs teammate Damien Cook flash up live on NRL 360 on Tuesday night.
The South Sydney legend, now a regular panellist on Fox League, couldn’t say no to the chance to throw Cook’s live cross off the rails as he chatted live with NRL 360 hosts Ben Ikin and Paul Kent on FaceTime.
All the Englishman had to do was prank call Cook in the middle of his interview.

With Cook being asked about returning to play for NSW when this year’s State of Origin series kicks off in Adelaide in November, Burgess called up his old teammate in the middle of the chat to freeze the live cross.
It forced Fox League to cut the live footage from Cook’s webcam and to instead show live pictures from inside the Fox League studio as Cook spoke over the top.
When Ikin had to apologise for Cook’s video cutting out, Cook explained the reason why.
“I’ll tell you why, because Sam Burgess, one of your old employees is trying to ring me,” Cook said.
“He’s obviously watching.”
Ikin could see the funny side of it.
“He’ll want to be careful that he doesn’t have his contract torn up,” Ikin said.
“That’s an old game they used to play on Fox League Live, calling people while they’re doing FaceTime interviews.”
It was a change of pace from the standard gags Burgess and fellow Englishman James Graham have been cracking in recent years about their love-hate relationship.
