PENRITH winger David Simmons' fine start to the NRL season has been rewarded with a new two-year deal at the club.
The dashing tryscorer, who has crossed the line eight times this season, is locked into the Panthers until the end of 2015.
Simmons joined the Panthers in 2010, solidifying his reputation as one of rugby league's most prolific tryscorers - taking his tally this year to 77 career tries.
"David is a well-respected and highly valued member of the Panthers team, both on and off the field,'' Panthers general manager of rugby league Phil Moss said in a statement.
"David is the ultimate professional and a wonderful role model for youngsters coming through the ranks here at the Panthers.''
