NRL SuperCoach: Buy, Hold, Sell - Round 10 for 2018

CRONULLA captain Paul Gallen is expected to withdraw from the Sharks side to play the Canberra Raiders.

He was hoping to make a comeback this week from a knee injury.

Gallen’s withdrawal will be announced on Sunday before the 4.10pm game in the national capital.

Kurt Dillon is expected to join the 17-man squad.

Paul Gallen is in doubt for the match against the Raiders.

With fellow senior fowards Wade Graham (hamstring) and Luke Lewis (calf) and fullback Josh Dugan (ankle) also in the casualty ward, Flanagan said the Sharks could ill afford to suffer any more injuries.

“He (Graham) seemed to be okay but another week would have made a difference,” the coach said.

“We won’t be pushing them if they’re not 100 per cent right.

“Whilst it’s a really important time of the year, there’s still a lot of games to be played.

“Gal will know if he’s right. But he’s done everything he needs to do, he’s up to date and he’s on track.”
