SYDNEY Roosters star Boyd Cordner could be facing a stint on the sidelines for a dangerous tackle on Canberra’s Luke Bateman on Sunday afternoon.
As halftime approached at GIO Stadium, the Raiders were attacking the Roosters’ line when Bateman was up-ended by Cordner.
The Tricolours backrower was penalised for the tackle and the home side slotted their third penalty of the game to go to a 12-0 lead which they held into the break.

Cordner did redeem himself after halftime when he scored the team’s first try to get them back into the contest.
But fans on social media believed he should cop a suspension.
He wonât, but cordner should get 1-2 weeks for that spear tackle. Got up and apologised to him but that was bad #NRLRaidersRoosters
