TOM Trbojevic was pencilled in to most experts State of Origin team but will now, sadly, miss his opportunity after injuring both his knee and ankle against the Broncos.
David Mead legally tackled the Manly fullback while he was still in the air in Friday’s clash between the Broncos and Sea Eagles thanks to a rule that allows the tackler to take down the man if the ball has already bounced.
It has ruined both Trbojevic’s hopes and possibly Manly’s season.
