THE Sea Eagles snuck home with a late burst against the Titans, while the Knights were too strong for the Panthers.

4.43pm - Manly storm home against Titans

MANLY were dominant for most of the game, but almost let the match slip against the Titans before storming home.

A runaway try to Aidan Sezer got the Titans to within eight points with 10 minutes remaining, before late tries to Nick Skinner (75th minute) and Jorge Taufua (78th minute) sealed the result for the Sea Eagles.

Brett Stewart was named man of the match scoring a try and setting three up.

4.19pm - Manly still on top against Titans

MANLY lead 28-16 with 20 minutes to go against the Titans.

The Gold Coast side were the first to score after the break, with winger Kevin Gordon producing a spectacular leap off an Albert Kelly cross-kick.

But with the Titans a man down after Ryan James was sent to the sin bin for holding down in the tackle, Justin Horo strolled over for the Sea Eagles just moments later.

4.04pm - Ref blunder overshadows Knights win

AKUILA Uate crossed for a double to propel the Knights to victory in a game marred by possibly the worst refereeing blunder of the year.

Following the longest try drought of his career (six games), Uate crossed twice to lead the Knights to a 32-14 victory.

But the win was overshadowed a try awarded by the video referee to Penrith's Dean Whare, despite his hand clearly touching the sideline.

3.49pm - Manly lead 24-10 at half time

MANLY put on a brilliant attacking display to take a 24-10 lead at half time against the Titans.

Brett Stewart (6th minute), David Williams (22nd minute), Jamie Lyon (26th minute), Steve Matai (32nd minute) and Jamie Buhrer (34th minute) scored for the Sea Eagles.

A late try in the 40th minute provided hope for the outclassed Titans.

3.37pm - Stewart on fire for Manly

BRETT Stewartis putting on an exhibition at Brookvale Oval.

After scoring the first try, he the notched two try assists in four minutes to give the Sea Eagles a 16-4 lead after 30 minutes.

Jamie Lyon and David Williams were the tryscorers.

3.31pm - Knights take commanding lead

AKUILA Uate scored his second try of the game to put the Knights ahead 20-8 with 20 minutes left.

Centre Dane Gagai leapt to catch a bomb before offloading to Uate, who was unmarked on his outside.

3.18pm - Gower scores against his old club

VETERAN Craig Gower pounced on a grubber to score against his old club at Centrebet Stadium.

Fullback Matt Moylan hoped the ball would roll dead, but was beaten by a determined chase from Gower.

The Knights lead 16-8 with 30 minutes to go.

3.14pm - Watmough sets up Stewart

ANTHONY Watmough turned playmaker to set up Brett Stewart with a delightful short ball.

The Sea Eagles lead 6-0 after 10 minutes.

2.52pm - Late surge snares lead for Knights

THE Knights have snared a 10-8 half time lead over the Panthers courtesy of a Darius Boyd-led late surge.

Akuila Uate (25th minute) and Boyd (39th minute) crossed late to put the Knights ahead after trailing 6-0 early.

2.25pm - Whare notches controversial try

DEAN Whare crossed for one of the most controversial tries of the year to give the Panthers a 6-0 lead over the Knights.

Whare received a great bat-back from David Simmonds before crossing in the corner.

The try was awarded by the video referee despite Whare's hand touching the sideline as he planted the ball.

2.25pm - Takairangi out for Titans

CENTRE Brad Takairangi (ribs) has been replaced by Steve Michaels for the Titans.

Luke O'Dwyer has also been called into the squad on the bench, with Mark Ioane out.

DAVID Fa'alogo has recovered from a knee injury and replaces Korbin Sims on the Newcastle bench in the only change.
