Kieran Foran marries woman ‘who turned my life around’

NRL star Kieran Foran today married the woman he says helped turn his life around. The Bulldogs player and Karina May exchanged vows in front of a host of Foran’s current and former teammates at a ceremony at Avoca.

NRL star Kieran Foran has married the woman he says helped turn his life around.

Foran and the love of his life, Karina May, took their vows today and committed to only “good times ahead”.

In front of close friends and family at a ceremony at Avoca, a clearly smitten Foran and May sealed their relationship, which the groom says is the “start of our lives together’’.

“I’ve been looking forward to the big day for a fair while now,’’ an excited Foran told The Sunday Telegraph.

“Life has just been so good away from footy and Karina has played a big part in turning my life around.

“I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to so many good times ahead.’’

Foran’s brother, Liam, was his best man while former Manly teammate Glenn Stewart was a groomsman.

Several of Foran’s footy mates were guests, including Bulldogs Josh Jackson, Adam Elliott and Moses Mbye, and former Sea Eagles Anthony Watmough and Brett Stewart.

Foran said that, with his two children and May’s six, “life is busy, but we love it’’.

Between them Foran and his new wife have eight children.

The 28-year-old’s closest friends claim they have never
seen him more focused and clear-minded.

Foran said that, after two years of off-field dramas, including the breakdown of his previous relationship, his move from Parramatta to the Warriors and then Canterbury, and season-ending wrist and toe injuries, he was now in a clear mental space.

“It’s no coincidence that when you’re settled off the field, you’re settled on the field and that’s where I’m at right now,’’ Foran said.

“I’m about to start my first pre-season on day one in years and
I’m so focused on getting fit and focused on 2019.’’
