It took a supreme team effort for the NSW Blues to score back-to-back State of Origin victories, but there can only be one People’s Choice Player of the Year. Vote in our poll below for the Blue that you think deserves to take home the award.
BOYD CORDNER
The NSW backrower became the first since Danny Buderus in 2004/05 to captain his state to back-to-back State of Origin Shields.
JAMES TEDESCO
The Blues fullback was deservedly named the Wally Lewis medallist after a standout series which culminated with him scoring the match-winning try in the Game Three decider.
DAMIEN COOK
The NSW hooker terrorised the Queensland defence throughout the series and came up with a brilliant, solo try in the Game Three decider.
JAKE TRBOJEVIC
The Blues forward formed a large part of the Blues engine room and turned in a tireless performance in Game Two which saw him earn Man of the Match honours.
TOM TRBOJEVIC
The NSW centre returned from a hamstring injury in Game Two and blew the Maroons off the park after bagging a hat-trick of tries.
JAMES MALONEY
The Blues five-eighth was recalled to the team for Game Two and turned in a match-winning display after halfback Nathan Cleary was forced from the field with injury.
JOSH ADDO-CARR
The NSW winger came up with a number of telling defensive saves in Game One and grabbed two tries in the Blues dominant win in Perth
JACK WIGHTON
The Blues centre proved a rock in defence in the Game Three decider after shooting out of the line several times to shut down promising Queensland raids.
