IT wasn’t pretty but the Roosters won’t care after they notched their first win of the season, a 17-10 success over the Rabbitohs.

Greg Inglis 6 Little impact. Went about as well as the team went – average.	FULLBACK	Latrell Mitchell 7 Didn’t star but was faultless at the back.
Aaron Gray 7 Nothing wrong with his performance. Could not have done more.	WING	Daniel Tupou 6.5 Strong involvement and had some good moments.
Hymel Hunt 6 Had some good touches but didn’t impose himself much at all.	CENTRE	Brendan Elliot 7 Unheralded but didn’t put a foot wrong all game.
Kirisome Auva'a 6 Butchered an early try and didn’t redeem himself.	CENTRE	Blake Ferguson 6.5 Some big defence but few attacking chances.
Bryson Goodwin 7 One of Souths better players who at least threatened at times.	WING	Shaun Kenny-Dowall 5.5 Some good mixed in with a few brain explosions.
Cody Walker 6.5 Effort was good and at least tried to spark his side.	5/8	Aidan Guerra 8 Big contribution in attack and defence.
Luke Keary 5.5 Didn’t provide the attacking direction his side needed.	H/BACK	Jackson Hastings 7 Nothing fancy but kicking and direction was spot on
George Burgess 6.5 Completely over-shadowed by Napa. Limited impact.	PROP	Sam Moa 7 Hard and straight and kept coming up the middle all game
Cameron McInnes 6 Got over the line but couldn’t get it down in a telling moment.	HOOKER	Jake Friend 8 Great skipper’s knock. Led the way from the front.
Sam Burgess 7.5 Another whole-hearted effort but needs more support.	PROP	Dylan Napa 10 Ferocious, brutal and relentless. Destroyed Souths.
Kyle Turner 5 Didn’t provide anything like the impact his side needed.	2ND ROW	Mitch Aubusson 7 Showed why coach Robinson has him in starting side.
Chris Grevsmuhl 5.5 Didn’t see enough of the footy to impress.	2ND ROW	Sio Siua Taukeiaho 4 Night over after 26 mins with knee injury.
Nathan Brown 5 Not the energy he has been playing with.	LOCK	Isaac Liu 7.5 His off-load led to opening try. A big contributor to win.
Damien Cook 4.5 Only a bit part but did okay when out there.	I/CHANGE	Jayden Nikorima 3.5 Didn’t contribute much when out there.
Jason Clark 6.5 Plenty of metres and strong work-rate.	I/CHANGE	Kane Evans 6.5 Been disappointing but much better impact in this one.
Tom Burgess 5.5 A couple of decent hits when he finally got on	I/CHANGE	Eloni Vunakece 4.5 Made the most of his limited time on field.
Paul Carter 6 At least provided some much need energy when used.	I/CHANGE	Abraham Papalii 5.5 One big charge and looks a handy back-up.
