NRL veteran and Kiwi international Benji Marshall knocked back St George Illawarra’s contract offer but with the lack of form he is bringing to the Dragons is it time he just sucked it up and re-signed?
NSW Origin coach Laurie Daley sat down with The Daily Telegraph’s Dean Ritchie to give his verdict.
“At the moment you would say the Dragons are holding all the aces given they’re not playing great and Benji’s copping all the criticism,” Daley said.
“He’ll have to aim up otherwise they may well withdraw the offer and then he’ll have nowhere to go.”
Daley and Ritchie also discussed the Roosters chances of snagging their first win against the Rabbitohs and the five-eighth under consideration for NSW Origin duties.
