THE Broncos showed they are a premiership force with a thumping win over the Sharks.
Here’s five things we learned from Brisbane’s 32-10 triumph at Suncorp Stadium.
1. Kodi Nikorima has won nine out of nine games starting at halfback this season. Nikorima put a nice ball on to Matt Gillett’s chest for the first try but he threw a shocker towards Corey Oates when a try was beckoning and needs to work on his passing.
2. Anthony Milford is finding form at the right time of the season. Milford has stepped up since taking the senior playmaking position and produced some of his dazzling footwork last night to bamboozle the Sharks.
3. Josh McGuire will be in contention for Brisbane’s player of the year award. McGuire was huge with 157m and 23 tackles on Friday night. He has been an outstanding replacement for Corey Parker in the No. 13 jersey.
4. Queenslanders love nothing more than seeing Paul Gallen lose. Gallen was booed every time he touched the ball in his 300th NRL match, the loudest saved for when he made an error.
5. Tautau Moga could be one that comes back to bite the Broncos. Moga scored two sensational tries, showcasing speed and power from long range to get across the line. If he can stay fit the Knights have scored a solid signing.
