BRONCOS coach Anthony Griffin will face a public grilling by disgruntled members as statistics show Brisbane have the NRL's most underperforming halves.

Aware of the growing anger in the fan base, Broncos chief executive Paul White wrote to members this week to explain the club's situation and offer exclusive online chats with Griffin and himself in coming weeks.

Griffin is set to face the tough questions on Tuesday night and on the back of six losses from their past seven games, the under-fire coach can expect some fiery curve balls about why the season has gone so horribly wrong.

"I know many of you have strong comments on team selections, player positions and performances," White said in a letter to members.

"He will try to answer as many of your questions as he can, so please take this opportunity to go 'one-on-one' with the coach - a very direct, honest, straight-shooting and respectful man with an enormous knowledge of rugby league and coaching strategies."

One area set to come under scrutiny is the halves pairing of Scott Prince and Peter Wallace, with damning statistics from Sportsdata suggesting they are among a number of players not pulling their weight.

Sportsdata's Contribution Value Ratings system, which uses a sophisticated database of statistics to break down every player's performance, is available to all NRL coaches and is favoured by the likes of the Bulldogs' Des Hasler and NSW coach Laurie Daley.

The CVR system takes into account over 30 factors calculating everything from tries scored, assists, tackle busts, missed tackles and errors.

Halfback Wallace is ranked No. 280 in the NRL, marginally ahead of Prince at No. 289.

On any given weekend, only 272 players take to the field in the NRL.

Perhaps most significant, though, is the fact Wallace is rated 19th among halfbacks in the NRL and Prince at 17th for five-eighths.
