EELS forward Junior Paulo faces nine weeks on the sidelines for a dangerous throw on Matt Ballin.

The NRL Match Review Committee today charged nine players for a series of offences which could result in up to 23 weeks of suspensions.

Paulo’s incident relates to a 29th-minute tackle on Manly hooker Ballin during Parramatta’s 42-12 win on Friday night.

He was charged with a grade three dangerous throw, and will miss seven weeks with an early guilty plea - or nine if he fights the charge and loses.

In other match review committee news:

* Tigers young gun Mitchell Moses will escape suspension for his coat hanger tackle on William Zillman with an early guilty plea.

* Raiders fullback Jack Wighton brought back the biff on Sunday night when he punched Cronulla’s Sosaia Feki but will be free to play this week with an early guilty plea.

* Broncos prop James Gavet will serve three games with an early guilty plea for his shoulder charge of South Sydney’s Isaac Luke.

* Manly’s James Hasson faces a three-game ban for a dangerous contact charge on Anthony Watmough.

* Josh Reynolds could miss two to three weeks for the Bulldogs after being charged with a grade one dangerous throw.

* Knights fullback Sione Mata’utia was charged with a grade one dangerous throw but will not be suspended if he pleads guilty.

* South Sydney’s Ben Lowe will be free to play in round two if he pleads guilty to a dangerous contact charge.

* Cowboys superstar Johnathan Thurston can escape suspension for a tripping charge on Roger Tuivasa-Sheck with an early guilty plea.
