Norths
Adam Khan
Who cannot coach pace and Khan has speed - and then some. He has come in from the country (Wide Bay district) and will be well prepared by having a full off-season with his teammates.
Jahrel Iselin-Jansen
Watch this bloke. He has plenty going for him. He will play halfback and is the type capable to anything.
Jordan Kake
The Mabel Park SHS product will relish the captaincy from dummy half.
Noah Rauluni
The son of a gun - his dad Jacob was a Reds and Fijian representative - Rauluni will by a dynamic interchange forward with energy and impact.
Jack Biles
He comes from out of the The Cathedral College system and this Brothers Rockhampton edge forward will be etching for action when injected off the bench.

A big, tally rangy back rower from the Beerwah Bulldogs club, Kite has been named captain. He is a good ball runner, but also someone with skill carrying the ball.

Tweed Seagulls v Tigers
Tigers
Malik Elabbasi
Malik Elabbasi comes into selection contention after being named a reserve. The Clarence Coast Magpies junior moved to the Tigers den in 2021.
Braiden Driscoll
Driscoll was ultra impressive at Kayo Stadium in round one. His running game was just relentless, Driscoll testing the Redcliffedefence in a wet and wild skirmish.
Rene Bagon
The Ipswich SHS old boy Bagon led the charge with his aggression and physicality but will have to tone it up a few notchesif the Tigers are to tame Tweed.
Xavier Hellyer
The form guide was right with Hellyer. He was earmarked to cause problems with his kicking game and he did just that on Sunday. His grubber kicking was immaculate.
Tweed
Jake Lateo
The PBC SHS No. 7 returns to a side he has captained in the past. His development has really come over the last 18 months with his ace kicking game, leadership and defence an asset. He will come off the bench.
Billy Tonkin
With Sam Stephenson out, Tonkin has been named at centre after coming off the bench last week.
Zane Harrison
He has a simple game plan and you just can’t beat it.
The calm and composed Harrison is steady, and was one of the few players to shine in a mistake-ridden game on Saturday.

Bears v Dolphins
Dolphins
Jeremiah Havea
Jeremiah Havea gets his first chance of the season from the interchange bench.
Zac Herdegen
Herdegen was a round one wonder for Redcliffe, kicking superbly off the tee, setting up tries and scoring them himself.
The Wavell SHS senior is set for a big year that is for sure.
Elijah Rasmussen and Larry Siala
Two big boys with a thirst for contact.
Redcliffe are lucky to have them, Rasmussen at prop and Siala off the bench.
LJ Nonu
The Dolphins have a wrecking ball centre playing on the wing in Ipswich SHS old boy Nonu.
The more he gets involved the better off the Dolphins will be.
Bears
Bailey McConnell
The unchanged Bears will again be spearheaded by McConnell. Opposition teams will have a circle around McConnell’s name.
He is so nifty, and can break open a game in the blink of an eye with his notorious dummy.
A PBC SHS old boy.
Creedence Kelly Donovan
He may be small in stature but he still requires more than one body to be brought down.
The Bears winger is ferocious and can finish tries with the best of them.

CONNELL CUP
Norths v Wynnum Manly
Wynnum-Manly
David Bryenton and Jared Horne
This Wynnum Manly Connell Cup outfit is already looking far more dangerous than last year and that’s thanks to the inclusions of this duo.
Both Broncos signed, fullback Bryenton and lock Horne are the definition of next up.
Jordan Hotere and Ezekial Jones
Hotere is one of the hardest working halves out there and has earned this No. 7 jersey fair and square. A Wavell SHS student, Hotere is one we expect to improve greatly this season and he had a great start in round one which featured a try.
Jones was just brilliant as well at dummy-half.
Dean Tauaa and Tyler Pereira
Broncos Academy talent Tauaa was one of the discovery players of the Walters Cup last season and showcased his strength in round one when he bumped off defenders while half Pereira was excellent in game No.1.
Norths
James Gray and Ethan Grimshaw
The Devils will not lack speed. Gray and Grimshaw were schoolboy sprint champions who have been named in the centres.
Taoso Taoso
The Dolphins signed Taoso Taoso is an athletic edge back rower who represents Queensland and Australia in junior water polo

In the forwards Trent Picot comes into No. 13.
Jerome MacDonald will be the No. 17.

For Tweed Jyah White will start at No. 13 and Ashton Hure comes onto the bench.

Bears v Dolphins
Dolphins
Redcliffe were also intact, with Archer Mesritz the new No. 18.
Charlie Dickson and Mereki Warradoo
The Moreton Bay Raptors juniors will be keen to bounce back after a 14-all draw against the Tigers denied them the perfect start to the season.
Dickson scored a great try in that game, and Warradoo was excellent returning the ball.
Nate Berrigan and Brian Pouniu
We could sing praises for the entire Redcliffe line-up, but after Berrigan’s two try effort in round one we went with these two for our selection highlights.
Berrigan was a finisher on the right edge, while Pouniu continued to look a class above with his ball-carrying.
Noah Fien and Carter Welfare
The pair of them combined very well in the halves in round one and will be eager to take it up a notch at the weekend.
Fien’s kicking game was solid despite the windy conditions, while Welfare’s passing and running game was damaging.
Bears
The Bears will have an unchanged side but Kallen Boss has been rewarded by moving to No. 18.
Kilarney Lavender
Canberra Raiders signee Kilarney Lavender was a brute at centre in round one and presents himself as a tough challenge forhis opposing centre.
Lavender is a big kid, strong, mobile and known for scoring tries.
Seth Gundry
Fullback Gundry showed why South Sydney have invested in him with a blistering round one showing.
Gundry was electric with ball in hand, slicing open the Logan defences on more than one occasion.
Dallas Ingram
Ingram scored a beauty in round one, prompting his selection here.
He is a quick, powerfully built halfback and with Marley McLaren by his side, the Bears will be well equipped to capture win No.1.

Capras
Capras have the potential to make the finals, with Yeppoon junior Tyler Melrose steering the side, hard head forwards Henry Kallquist, Zac Bateman and Jake Oberhardt leading the way, and Jay Marsh and Harrison Hill providing dynamic play from the ruck.
Blackhawks
Queensland schoolboys representative Cohen Dittman has been gaining match condition playing for the Roosters in the Harold Matthews competition in Sydney. He has been named at centre.

Bulls v Clydesdales
Clydesdales
Playmaking ace Braithen Scott has been named to start the season at halfback. He was a revelation in the No. 1 jersey during 2023 but halfback has been his bread and cutter position.
Also, watch for Joseph Litidamu to be a threat at centre and for Shaun Elara to impress at No. 13.

Falcons v Jets
Falcons
You can always judge a team by the quality of the bench and in Nash Tollen,
Kaio Moses, Jett Ryan and Keagan Zanchetta the Sunshine Coast have a strong group adding fresh legs.
Ipswich
The Jets have Tyson Walker at the back and strong middle contingent including James Pau, Xzavier Timoteo and Tomasi Vaitai.
Centres Finn Kendall and Ioane Tiatia pack a punch, while hooker Bailey Vang, winger Ceasar Yeatman and halves Christian Mikaele and Corey Elder will have this Ipswich side in good stead for the season.

HARVEY NORMAN UNDER-19S
Tweed Seagulls v Brisbane Tigers
Tweed Seagulls
Mercedez Taulelei-Siala
Taulelei-Siala was one of the busiest over the off season. The Ipswich SHS student honing her craft in the Broncos NRLW Academy as well as in the Queensland Reds Super W team.
A Queensland Schoolgirls selection in 2023, Taulelei-Siala will play fullback.
Leilani Ahsam
Ahsam is a Bond University Bullsharks premiership winner and despite playing halfback, is a real running threat who can take the line on herself.
Tigers
Relna Hosea
She scored three tries in round one. It goes without saying that she is going to be the Tigers strike weapon throughout the season.
India Seeto and Leilani Tuqiri
Seeto’s got that special playmaking edge to her while Tuqiri’s goalkicking impressed in round one. Together, they are a potent duo which will give the Seagulls plenty of stick.
Shaylee Joseph, Alice Shannon and Patricia Wani
The Tigers looked a good chance to make the finals this season because of this powerful trio.
Joseph, Shannon and Wani are among the competition’s best forwards and Tweed will have to chop them around the legs before they gather too much momentum.
Wide Bay Bulls v Clydesdales
Clydesdales
Mackenzie Zellar
She was the competition’s leading metre eater last season so that speaks for itself.
Eliza Morcom
A trusted, reliable and hardworking second rower.
Burleigh Bears v Redcliffe Dolphins
Burleigh Bears
Bella Thompson
The Bears fullback is a promising talent aligned with the Titans and with Zali Bettridge out more responsibility will fall onto her to make things happen.
Mhia Mackey-Taylor
Another the Titans have shown interest in, Mackey-Taylor is a centre who will have her hands full locking down Redcliffe livewire Aspen Nakao.
Nadia Windleborn
The Robina Raptors junior was the Queensland Schoolgirls hooker last season alongside Paityn Johns and is a cut above the rest.
Redcliffe Dolphins
Armarni-lea Auvae and Reegan Hicks
The two Queensland Schoolgirls selections spearhead this Redcliffe side out of the prop positions.
Hicks is an absolute workhorse, perhaps the hardest worker in the whole competition. She also has the speed of a back.
Auvae is tireless with her hit-ups and ball-playing.
CQ Capras v Townsville Blackhawks
Townsville Blackhawks
Ana Malupo
The Blackhawks centre is super-fast and in space is hard to catch.
Ebony Raftstrand-Smith
The Queensland Schoolgirls selection in 2023 is contracted to the Cowboys NRLW side and possesses both speed and power.
Her defence is up there with the best in the competition and can put on a huge hit.
Zaleah Mosby-Nona
The Kirwan SHS alumni was a Queensland Country selection last year and she has the keys to opening up the Blackhawks dangerous backline.
Cutters v Pride
Mackay Cutters
Paityne Johns
Watch for the Qeensland Schoolgirls hooker to steer this Cutters side around the park and lift the side with her gutsy defence.
Wynnum Manly v Norhs Devils
Norths Devils
Ava Walters
The son of Broncos coach Kevin will play fullback where she can inject herself into the game.
She is fast and light on her feet.
Sienna Twigg
Twigg will play half this season but did damage in 2023 at dummy-half where she caught defenders napping more than once with darts out of the ruck.
Wynnum Manly
Destiny Mino-Sinapati
The Gold Coast Titans NRLW winger will be out to make a statement after suffering a round one loss.
Mino-Sinapati has been named on the wing.
Gloria Seumalii
We are unsure if Seumalii is linked to any NRLW club but she should be.
A second rower capable of playing centre, Seumalii has been ultra consistent for Wynnum Manly in the past two seasons.
Sunshine Coast Falcons v Ipswich Jets
Ipswich Jets
Ariana Henderson
The Ipswich SHS student will be captain for the Jets this year and there is no one better for the job.
Once an outside back now playing at lock, Henderson will be tough with her carries but also a great link between her forwards and backs.

HARVEY NORMAN UNDER-17 GIRLS
Tweed Seagulls v Tigers
Seagulls
Lourdes Vainikolo was a first game hero, not for her power running, but for a try saving tackle when a Wynnum win was brewing.
Saskia Croyston was front row star power for Tweed and her sister Mackenzie was not too far behind.
Tigers
Porche John
John was marvellous in the Tigers round one bout against Redcliffe, the Marsden SHS senior a wrecking ball through the middleof the field.
Watch for Riley-Jay Henry-Purcell, Lishainah Ulugiia and Sky-yvette Faimalie to give the Seagulls a handfulup front.
Kameryn Bray
The Tigers halfback got better as the game went on in round one and will be better for it.
A confidence player, Bray has a lovely spiral pass and is the key to unlocking her backline weapons.
Enah Desic
We couldn’t help but be impressed with the work rate of rake Enah Desic.
In yellow headgear, Desic did her part to help the Tigers to a round one victory, tackling her heart out, putting in kicksand of course getting to the rucks.

Bears v Dolphins
The Bears will give Olivia Mcallister and Isabella Brown chances to start in the forwards while Sharlize Hamilton goes onto the bench and Taliah Anderson goes from starting to another bench position.
Nikola MacDonald
The Keebra Park SHS winger had a strong start to the season and will look to back that up with more of the same.
She was tireless on defence and coming in off her wing to run the ball up.
Campbell Phillips
A field general, Phillips was exceptional with her communication last weekend.
She rarely stopped talking, whether it be scheming with her backs or directing her forward troops.
For Redcliffe Esme Hearsum has been named as a starting winger and Tia Molo goes from wing to centre.
Molo is a powerful winger who is going to get better with every game.
A representative netballer out of Brisbane State High, Molo is sure to score some tries this season.
Shar-Lene Nati
Nati is a natural for Redcliffe. At fullback, Nati can really get the Dolphins on the front foot with her speed and quick change of direction.
