After an unforgettable 2024 AFL Cairns season, the South Cairns Cutters ended their 21-year wait for a premiership flag with a victory over a valiant North Cairns Tigers team.

It was a season to remember, with the top four powerhouse sides making major recruitment moves in the off-season and building high-quality teams.

The teams that qualified for finals are more prominently featured on the list, with inside midfielders and key position players receiving greater emphasis.

Players who didn’t play at least ten games were excluded to ensure the rankings reflect the 2024 season, rather than relying on reputation from previous years.

Dylan Winton, Jared Petrenko, Chris Novy, Ben Finnerty, Caiden Gardiner, Billy Welch, Ashton Hams, Cam Ilett, Ben Finnerty and Liam Read are a few who may have featured if it weren’t for injury/too few games.
