The Brisbane Broncos-sponsored Old Boys Shield, Renouf Shield and Hancock Shield schoolboy rugby league grand finals were run and won today by Marsden SHS after being livestreamed at couriermail.com.au.
After Marsden SHS stormed to a 26-6 win over Keebra Park SHS in the Old Boys and then a 10-8 victory against Palm Beach Currumbin in the Renouf Shield, they then claimed a last-grasp 26-24 victory in the Hancock Shield.

HANCOCK SHIELD
Marsden SHS stole a thrilling Hancock Shield grand final victory off a fast finishing Palm Beach Currumbin SHS after the full time siren late today.
Javon Andrews, cool as you like, guided home a penalty goal from 22m out, in front of the posts to claim a 26-24 win.
The kick may as well have been 35m and out and near the sideline, so much pressure was he under.
The victory secured a clean sweep for Marsden SHS, with the school having earlier won the Broncos Old Boys and Renouf Trophies.
PBC stormed from the backblocks and could easily have won, so well did they play in the second half.
But Marsden SHS did set up the match by leading 24-4 late in the first half.
Blazing runs from Ray Puru and Creedence Donovan ignited PBC late, and with four minutes remaining Puru left scorch marks on Langlands Park, so fast did he run to score a try which leveled the scores at 24-all.
Just minutes earlier PBC got within touching distance after a superlative try from five-eight Jake Lateo, cracking the game wide open.
Lateo chased hard a centre kick from his winger Bailey Simpson to score and all of a sudden Marsden’s 24-4 advantage had been reduced to a mere four points.
Man of the match went to the losing side, middle forward Jonah Beaven, who accepted his award off great Bronco Mick Hancock.
“I am really proud. You can win and you can lose and we lost with our heads held high.
“We kept competing against a great side Marsden.’’
Marsden SHS’s Matt Hartigan said he was proud of the school’s performance to claim three wins.
“The school community is extremely proud of today’s results,’’ Hartigan said,
“This is a direct result of hard work and dedication that has been so consistent from our players, coaches and extended Marsden family.
“Everyone part of the Marsden school knows the bond that exists.
“It is a special community, led by a principal (Andrew Peach) who genuinely cares for each individual. This care filters down from there.’’
Earlier in the Hancock Shield first half, Marsden SHS star Will Semu imposed himself on the match.
Marsden SHS knew it was coming, certainly Palm Beach Currumbin knew it was coming and when Semu injected himself, it was memorable.
With the scores 10-4 in favour of Marsden six minutes before halftime, Semu chased a bomb, leapt skyward and plucked the ball from the hands of sturdy PBC No.1 Creedence Donovan.
Semu then regained his balance, put in several long strides and then unloaded a one armed pass to support player Te Whiu-Hopa who raced over the score.
Donovan got one back over Marsden just seconds before halftime, with a thrilling run to raise his team’s morale and reduce Marsden’s advantage to 24-10.
And then came Ray Puru’s try which cut the margin to 24-14 and the game was in the balance.
Both teams traded tries early in the decider, with PBC Baylen Donald powering over only for Marsden hooker Corey Pearse to respond with a dive rover try from dummy half.
Marsden 26 J Howe, C Pearse, R Moala, Te Whiu-Hopa tries; M Nosa 2 conv, J Andrews con) def PBC 24 (R Puru 2, B Donald, J Lateo C Donovan tries; B Simpson 2 convs)
OLD BOYS TROPHY
Marsden SHS v Keebra Park SHS
Marsden SHS secured the Broncos Old Boys Trophy this afternoon at Langlands Park with a 26-6 win over Keebra Park SHS.
Coached by former NRL player Darren Nicholls, Marsden controlled possession which gave its play makers and edges runs room to move.
Little Levi Bannan was a livewire halfback who ignited Marsden SHS with a brilliant solo try just before halftime, and then again just after the break.
Having balanced his game nicely between running and passing, Bannan seized a chance from near halfway and took off like a startled rabbit to score on the right hand corner which gave Marsden a 14-nil advantage at halftime.
Then, just after the break, Bannan ran off an excellent dummy half pass from Tamai Whakatau to drive his side onto the attack.
A few rucks later big second rower Mace Andrew resembled a juggling circus clown as he fumbled the ball above him before regaining control to score.
It was little surprise Bannon was named man of the match.
After Andrew’s try, Marsden fullback Zechariah Tuialii scored his second try and Marsden SHS had the trophy safely in their keeping.
Earlier in the half, Lui Lee opened the scoring for Marsden SHS with a wonderful, long striding run to the tryline from 20m out.
The brother of NRL player Branko Lee, Lee initially glided across field before straightening and heading toward the posts.
The conversion was successful by Caleb Cresswell and Marsden were up 6-nil.
Marsden SHS made it 10-nil a few minutes when right winger Napairee Sabadi exploded down the grandstand sideline.
This was after fullback Tuialii had gone on a withering run on the other side of the field.
Scores: Marsden SHS 26 (Z Tuialii 2, L Lee, L Bannan, M Andrew, B Taufauo tries; C Creswell conv) def Keebra Park 6 (T Tonga try, P Feaunati conv)
RENOUF SHIELD
MARSDEN SHS v PALM BEACH CURRUMBN SHS
Te Ara Tamepo-Habib inched Marsden SHS to a thrilling 10-8 win in the Renouf Shield grand final against Palm Beach Currumbin SHS this afternoon.
Tamepo-Habib ran as wide as a centre to accept a pass from ball playing forward Javon Andrews to skirt over in the right hand corner.
The try enabled Marsden SHS to recapture the lead 10-8 and hang on for victory.
PBC looked set for a win just minutes earlier.
It was the Tyler & Tyler show for Palm Beach Currumbin when the pair combined for their team’s first try just 10 minutes from the end of the game.
The match was all locked up when PBC halfback Harper threaded a grubber kick to his outside backs where centre Small stormed through to score.
Harper added the conversion and it was 6-all in a grand final thriller.
The long striding Small then made another bust to put PBC deep on the attack, and from a penalty PBC made them pay when Harper broke the deadline.
After a nervous, uncertain start by both sides, Marsden SHS opened the scoring midway through the first half when centre Nathon Redd burst onto a pass to score unchallenged.
