Tight games, excellent tries and some big-time celebrations – it’s been a final day to remember on the Sunshine Coast. Relive the action, which included seven grand finals, from our LIVESTREAM.

Some of the best up-and-coming rugby players from Australia and New Zealand saved their best until last at the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday.

And there was no better game than the one that closed off the tournament, with Queensland Fiji defeating AU Superstars in the U18 boys grand final, 20-17.

It was a tight affair between the competition’s best two sides, with the Fijians managing to hold their lead across the entire match.

Overall, however, it was the Queensland Barbarians who dominated the competition, taking away wins in the U14, U16 boys and U10 divisions.

The U16 Boys Barbarians were overjoyed when they took down AU Superstars 24-19 after a nailbiting second half.

With the scores locked at 12-12 at halftime, the Superstars looked to have the edge until a try in the 38th minute from the Barbarians kicked the home side into gear.

In the U14 boys, the Barbarians defeated Samoa 26-17 and in the U12s, QLD Samoa defeated QLD Kiwis 7-0.

The U10 grand final saw the smallest of Barbarians beat the QLD Kiwis despite a hearty comeback from the Kiwis in the second half.

In the girls’ competition, Victoria Samoa finished off a dominant weekend with a 20-0 win over the QLD Kiwis in the U14s.

The Victorians were classy from start to finish, never giving the QLD Kiwis an inch. And as the final siren sounded, it was absolute scenes of joy with supporters charging onto the field.

QLD Samoa put on a dominant performance in the U16s to come away champions over QLD Kiwis, winning 15-0.
