They might have stolen the show with the cutest haka ever performed, but there was nothing cute about the way the Queensland Kiwi Under-12 played on Friday.
The Kiwis were merciless in their opening match of the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival, scoring 12-unanswered tries against Queensland Royals.

Winger Hudson Backholm crossed for a hattrick, while his inside centre Evander Kamikamica added two of his own in the 66-0 win.
It set the tone for a big opening day of action on Field 4, with Oatley Giants keeping the Gold Coast Tonga side scoreless in the Under-14 boys while the Queensland Kiwi Under-14 girls did the same later in the day.
Led by try-scoring doubles to flyhalf Indiana Faaaoga-Andrews and centre Kobie Atarau, the Kiwi girls made short work of Gold Coast Tonga in the 41-0 win.

All Nations Rugby NT made their long journey down from Darwin worth it on the opening day of the festival, with the club’s Under-16 boys side outmuscling rivals Queensland South Africa.
Fraser Brown saluted for the big men of the front row when he barged his way across, while the rest of the scoring was shared among the NT ranks.

There will be a healthy dose of Queensland Barbarians sides when the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival action kicks off on Field 4 on Friday.
The BaaBaas feature in five of the 10 games scheduled, including the U10s (twice), U12s, U14s and U16s girls teams.
With more teams and more players than ever before, the exclusive live stream coverage of the tournament will expand to five fields.

The Pacific Youth Rugby Festival will play host to tournament newcomers Queensland Indigenous and Pasifika, Nations United North Queensland and Territorian raiders All Nations Rugby NT.
Meanwhile tournament regulars Queensland Kiwi, AU Superstars and Gold Coast Tonga have expanded their efforts across most ages and divisions.
