KommunityTV and News Corp has cemented itself as the home of netball in the Sunshine State this season, but that is about to go well beyond the elite levels of the game.

A new partnership between KommunityTV and Netball Queensland will bring the best young talents across the state to the fore this year.

It is an extension of KommunityTV’s exclusive match of the round coverage of the Hart Sapphire and Ruby Series, which has introduced new audiences to the state league.

Netball Queensland chief executive officer Glenn Dennis said the partnership with KommunityTV allowed the state body to connect as many people to their events as possible.

“Netball Queensland is thrilled once again to have partnered with Kommunity TV to showcase our marquee state events,” Dennis said.

“Our state events see thousands of players, volunteers and supporters come together to showcase the best underage netball across Queensland.

“We know that not everyone can be there in person, so it’s incredibly important to be able to connect as many people as we can to these events through streaming and other digital content.

“This addition of NQ’s community events to Kommunity TV alongside the Hart Sapphire Series gives state netball an incredible profile in the community and allows fans and families alike to enjoy community netball from a single source no matter where they are.”

The exclusive coverage of the Junior State Age Titles from Townsville later this month, will include live streams from two courts across all four days of the competition.

The Vicki Wilson Championship, which is open to all high schools across Queensland, has already begun this season with several regional qualifying rounds staged to determine which schools will fly the flag for their region in Brisbane in August.
