PLAYERS TO WATCH

Kingston Seve (Queensland Maroons)

The tall, long-striding Seve will be a threat with his running game from the back, and also taking on tired forwards around the ruck. He can be an ace in the pack.

Majah-Jose Peachey (Queensland Maroons)

Mabel Park edge forward Peachey is a wildcard forward who, when fit and motivated, will be as damaging as any in his age group. Selection in this side represents a huge opportunity for the young man who arrived on the eastern seaboard at the start of the year from Perth looking for a chance. Now he has that chance.

Ezekiel Jones (Queensland Maroons)

It will all start at the ruck and Queensland could not be in better hands with Jones touching the ball first. Jones has roared into the limelight this season, earning a Broncos academy contract and playing strongly for Wynnum Manly.

Jay Marsh (Queensland White)

He has been raised in a family of hookers -his dad is PJ and his brother is Braelan – and is just the man to steer Queensland around the paddock. The Central Queensland-raised talent will bring his forwards onto the ball, but also skirt out of the ruck off the back of quick play-the-balls.

Tawa-Dean Simpkins (Queensland White)

Simpkins is a proven finisher who works hard for his side coming out of the defending end, but who can finish a movement with ease. He is an inspired selection in this side.

Payton Gifford (Queensland White)

A bit of a Mr Natural, Gifford was a member of the fast finishing Wavell SHS side which challenged strongly for the Walters Cup. He is deceptive with his pace, is sharp on his feet and creative with the ball.

Jai Bilish (Queensland Maroons)

Bilish garnished his season with experience playing Langer Trophy for Keebra Park SHS and did not look out of place. He is a great competitor whose short kicking game and running game will challenge opponents.

Danielle Tutakangahau (Queensland schoolgirls)

Halves ace Tutakangahau has speed, agility and vision beyond her years who has been a key factor in the success of the championship winning Mabel Park SHS side.

Lilli Lewis (Queensland schoolgirls)

Lewis is a quick between the ears natural play making halve who will trouble teams with his instinctive passing and short kicking games. She’s a bit of a gem and if she links at any time with Marsden SHS teammate Janique Mili, then look out.

Amanii Misa (Queensland schoolgirls)

A hard worker off the field, the Roosters academy member can deliver bone-crushing tackles which set her apart from the pack, but also image games as a dynamic middle or edge running forward.
