Live stream: Watch exclusive match of the round coverage of the FNQRL 2025 season

The Far North Queensland Rugby League season is set to begin with a bang – and KommunityTV will be your one-stop shop for weekly coverage. See how to watch the action LIVE.

Cairns Brothers win the FNQRL premiership

Clubs across Cairns and beyond are locked and loaded for a monster year of Far North Queensland Rugby League and the pick of the competition’s best will be live weekly on KommunityTV.

For the fifth successive season, the FNQRL and KommunityTV have come together to exclusively live stream the match of the round in 2025.

And it all kicks off with a massive grand final rematch between last year’s top two sides Brothers and Ivanhoes on Sunday, March 22.

FNQRL chairman Chey Bird said he was excited to see “how the dust settles” once the season begins after a great deal of movement between clubs in the league’s A-grade men’s competition.

“It’s going to be hotly contested. The majority of clubs have strengthened quite well, which bodes well for an even competition,” he said.

“There’s been a bit of a changing of the guard so to speak at Ivanhoes, but they’re really well led, and when you’ve got a former international in your line-up you’re always a chance.

“I’m interested to see how (Southern) Suburbs go with their new coach and they’ve recruited really well. I can see it being a really even competition.”

Live stream coverage will feature men’s, women’s reserves and under-19 games across the campaign, plus senior and junior grand finals.

It’s always an exciting time of year as the season draws close,” Bird said.

“We had the recent Chairman’s Challenge over the weekend, and it was great to see a number of clubs participate in that.

“It gives us a good foundation to continue that over the coming season.”

As for the FNQRL’s ongoing partnership with KTV, which now enters its fifth year in total, and third of hosting weekly live streams, Bird said the platform was “highly valued.”

“It’s a very polished and professional product that KTV provides, one that we’re always happy to try and align our brand to,” he said.

“We like to think as a community league we’re at the forefront and leading the way in how we do things, whether it’s our home and away season, finals, gold medal dinners, whatever it is we like to think we’re at the forefront.

“The product we’re showcasing for those who can’t get to the ground in person is the best it can be.”
