They have swept all before them this season, winning the Titans Schools Cup and the Schoolgirls state final - and another a historic NRL National Schoolgirls Cup final awaits on Wednesday.
Mabel Park SHS will play Hills Sports High in the inaugural final to be live streamed on KommunityTV at 11.30am on Wednesday as part of our national schools rugby league coverage.

Meet the trailblazing girls from Mabel Park SHS here ahead of the finals.
1. Nazlyn Waaka-Rhind
First memory: Trialing for Met North under 12s playing with the Aspley devils.
Favourite player growing up: Greg Inglis.
Biggest inspiration to you: Probably my brother. He started off as a fullback and growing up I always had to go to his games, so just watching him play the role I just always looked up to him and aspired to play like him.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: I started off at Mabel Park this year and the school life is just as good as the footy bit. Mabel Park has a lot of cultural appreciation so it’s really good environment to be in.
2. Sialalua Asomua
First memory: Playing for Yenda Bueheelers.
Favourite player growing up: Yenda Bueheelers’ Maima Taufa
Biggest inspiration to you: My Family. Because they support me through everything I do in life and encourage me to be a better person for myself.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Winning the grandfinal against Ipswich. The feeling of getting that winning try was special.
3. Kaylani Tavita
First memory: Taking out my first grand final win in under 12s with the Waterford Demons
Favourite player growing up: Destiny Brill
Biggest inspiration to you: My biggest influences have been my mum and dad pushing me to my best through the tough times if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be the person I am today and I definitely wouldn’t have got through rehab without them. They really helped me physically and mentally
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Best memory at MPSHS was winning the big grand final (state final) with my girls.
4. Kiarah Siauane
First memory: My first rugby league memory was when I was back home in south Auckland. My whole family were playing league and somehow I just wanted to try it out and for my first game I was really shy and scared until I touched the ball and ran like there weren’t boys who were bigger then me right in front of me.
I surprised myself with how I fended half of the team and ran around them and scored my very first try with my first ever run and until then I just loved the sport and wanted to play more and learn more and to this day now. I still love and appreciate the sacrifices my family and myself have made to move here to Australia to make my dream come true and try make it onto the big screens
My first junior club was Otahuhu rugby league football club.
Favourite player growing up: My very first NRL idol growing up were and still will be Shaun Johnson and Roger Tuivasa Sheck.
Biggest inspiration to you: My biggest inspiration in my life would be my mum, reasons why is because she packed up and moved countries to see my become successful in something. I want to succeed in life and that is some day making the NRLW. There is a lot to be thankful for as my mother has always been supportive, been my Uber driver to games and trainings, always paying for my fees or anything that needs to be paid knowing we are sometimes tight on money, giving honest feedback on my games to improve, just doing the most for me to try and make my dreams come true.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: My best memory at Mabel Park SHS would be making the first ever dream team list at Mabel and making the Navy Met East squad on my first year at Mabel in year 7. It is one of my best first memories at Mabel because it was my very first experience in my first year here in Australia.
5. Nikolina Fangupo
First memory: Winning the club grand final in the under 16s with the Waterford Demons
Favourite player growing up: Gayle Broughton
Biggest inspiration to you: My family and boyfriend have been the biggest supporters in my life, challenging me but also being there for me unconditionally.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Coming back from a massive deficit against Ipswich SHS to win the grand final.
6. Malaela Su’a
First memory: Was playing with the boys and scored a try and did a Hayne the plane try celebration.
Favourite player growing up: Shannon Mato. Training with her is unbelievable. Her workrate and everything helps me to be a good player.
Biggest inspiration to you: My Mum and Dad and baby brother. They’ve played a big part in my career and went through the struggles to get me here. Now I want to give it all back to my family.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: The best memory is when we had all the students and staff watching our Kirwan game live in the hall the atmosphere was cool and everyone was cheering very loud. The support system at our school is incredible our team knew we had the whole school backing us IF ONE WINS WE ALL WIN.
7. Danielle Tutakangahau
First memory: Getting lectures from my dad at the Waterford Demons
Favourite player growing up: Shaun Johnson
Biggest inspiration to you: My dad, he influences me to keep striving and accomplish my goals to be the best I can.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Having a massive comeback against Ipswich SHS in the Titans Schools Cup final and winning against Kirwan SHS - and now moving on to battle for best of the country
8. Daesiniy manukonga
First memory: Winning my first grand final with the Waterford demons
Favourite player growing up: Salma Nour from Wests Tigers.
Biggest inspiration to you: My mum and sister. They are my push and they are the reason I continue to play. I appreciate the behind the scenes work they do and that is the reason why I want to be able to repay them one day. They are my inspiration and why I strive to keep pushing. They continue to influence me to do better and keep growing as a player and person.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: The banter I have with both my coaches and girls during trainings, before and after games will always be a highlight. Not only that but the history my team has made through our school would be the best memory I will forever cherish and hold.

9. Liliele Vaitolobeing
First memory: We squashed Easts Tigers
Favourite player growing up: I wouldn’t say an idol but one NRLW player I like to watch is Keeley Davis
Biggest inspiration to you: My family. It hasn’t been the easiest or hardest ride but they’ve really pushed me to my limits. I still think I’ve got a lot more to offer but thanks to them for being there with me every step of the way. My Grandpa is also my biggest why, although he isn’t here, the lessons I have learnt from him has really made me who I am today.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Making it through to year 12 with the same people, glad to be finishing my last year off with some of the best.

Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Being coached by Mr Carey - he is the man and has taught us all so much.
And winning the championship against Ipswich with the girls.
12. Athena Vili
Junior club: Logan Brothers
Biggest inspiration to you: The biggest influence on my career would have to be my dad. Since a young age he’s believed in me and pushed me to become a better player. Through this guidance, support and love for the game he has been significant throughout my rugby journey. Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Being able to grow a bond with our coaching staff and girls.

Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: My best memory at Mabel Park is coming to the school and connecting with all the girls and achieving what we have achieved as team. Also making great bonds with these girls.

First memory: Winning the grand final with the Waterford Demons

Biggest inspiration to you: Definitely my family. My family has been my biggest support and continue to do everything for me to be able to play and attend trainings and games.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: The best memory I’ve had with my school life at Mabel Park SHS would be winning the Schoolgirls championship.
15. Sharlene Vaili
First memory: School Rugby League. I didn’t play until u14 with Logan Brothers
Biggest inspiration to you: My dad. I was never a rugby player until 2021 where my dad told me to have a go at Rugby. I made it into the division 1 team for club and Met East White my first year. He had motivated me throughout my years especially last year where I was injured for the season. He helped me recover with my ankle and continued training to build up.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Playing sports Volleyball, Netball and Rugby League. I love to be active and get in contact with all sports.

Biggest inspiration to you: My parents. They’ve sacrificed everything for me to chase my dreams and to get to where I am now.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: Training with my team and getting to travel around australia with them.

First memory: Growing up watching my brother play Rugby League for the Wynnum Manly Juniors

Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: I love the culture at Mabel. The family feeling within my Rugby League team has made school life at MP State a memorable experience.

20. Ailani Penese
First memory: Winning the NZRL under 18s 9-a-side tournament with the Wellington Orcas
Favourite player growing up: Porirua Vikings’ April Ngatupuna who plays for the Cowboys.
Biggest inspiration to you: My family and friends back home in NZ because if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t of played rugby league in the first place. They supported me and my decision to move as well as taught me and guided me on how to play footy. I didn’t start playing until last year and ever since then I’ve fallen in love with the sport. Special mention to my sisters and parents who check up on me everyday making sure I’m on track and focused on my goal.
Most enjoyable aspect of life at Mabel Park SHS: In the short time I have been at Mabel I’ve made more memories than I would have imagined. MP State makes me feel just that little bit more at home. Mabel has a very unique vibe and energy no other school has and it shows. Winning alongside such strong players is one of my best memories as well as going school everyday and being excited to see not only my friends but coaches as well.
