Cairns Brothers has further enhanced its FNQRL A-Grade premiership credentials with a strong 38-14 win over Mareeba on Saturday.
In what was a top-four battle, it was the Brothers who proved far too strong with a dominating first-half display the catalyst for their win.

They eventually finished 38-14 winners after a late try from the Gladiators.
It took just eight minutes in the opening half for Cairns to open their account with Adam Hepworth’s try.
Another from Isaiah Wigness, followed by back-to-back tries from Lewis Carr, inside a ten minute period extended Cairns lead with Izaak Toby halting the run with Mareeba’s first in the 41st minute.
He finished with three for the game.

PREVIEW
Mareeba coach Trent Barnard knows his charges have to be better this week if they’re to have any chance of defeating the three-time defending premier Cairns Brothers.
The Gladiators and Brothers will collide in a top-four Far North Queensland Rugby League battle on Saturday night at Davies Park.
KommunityTV will exclusively live stream the A-Grade, reserves and under-19 matches.
The Gladiators did enough to get over the line 44-32 against Kangaroos last weekend, but after going up 30-0 early, they had a rough second half showing.
“They picked up their intensity and we couldn’t stop it at times. It was a bit concerning, but full credit to the Roos for coming out firing,” Barnard said.
While the Gladiators have not lost since round two, they’ll face a dominant Brothers outfit which has gained momentum on the back of two convincing wins.
And it was clear to Barnard that a full 80-minute performance will be required to beat a side with the pedigree and talent of the reigning premiers.
“If we only turn up expecting to play a half of footy we’ll be in a fair bit of trouble,” he said.
“Brothers are the benchmark but if we play our footy like we did in that first half, we can beat them.
”We need to complete our sets and roll down the field the way we did, we can match them with that style of play.”
The A-grade fixture kicks off at 6pm, and will be preceded by the under-19s at 3pm and reserves at 4.30pm.
All three matches will be exclusively live streamed here.
