The best schoolboys league players kick started the season last week, and for some teams Round 2 is all about redemption. Find out how to watch every match this week!

Round 1 is in the bank, and while the dust might still be settling on some massive results, there is little time for teams to lick their wounds ahead of a massive Round 2.

KommunityTV, along with our Queensland mastheads, will live stream every match from the senior competitions as well as their Year 10 equivalents this season.

LANGER TROPHY

The Langer Trophy will be split across three days this week, kicking off with a massive Wavell State High homecoming on Tuesday.

It is a day oif celebration for the proud rugby league nursery, with games all day long and into the night at the school’s impressive league facility.

In the Walters Cup and Langer Trophy, Wavell will clash with excitement machines Mabel Park led by the indestructible Alex Leapai.

Both teams are riding a wave of momentum after huge opening round wins, setting up a mouthwatering clash.

The action continues on Wednesday with two double headers and a standalone Walters Cup fixture in the one afdternoon.

Reigning champions Ipswich, who will be smarting after a Round 1 loss to Keebra Park, will clash with a Redcliffe side also searching for a first win of the season.

Stretton Park will clash with Redcliffe in the Walters Cup curtain raiser to that clash at North Ipswich Reserve.

Palm Beach Caloundra, who played out a 10-10 draw with Marsden last week, will look to go up another gear against competition newcomers Caloundra State High.

While Marsden and Keebra Park will meet in a standalone Walter Cup clash at Marsden State High from 4pm.

The two schools will meet in an exciting Langer Trophy clash to round out the week on Thursday, which will be played as a curtain raiser to the Gold Coast Titans NRL clash with Wests Tigers at CBUS Super Stadium.

PAYNE CUP

The headline match of the Aaron Payne Cup will come on Thursday, when Townsville schools Ignatius Park College and Kirwan State High write the next chapter in one of the most storied rivalries in schoolboys league.

But before then, there is plenty of action from the North on Tuesday.

Cairns school St Augustine’s College will clash with fellow Payne Cup debutants Holy Spirit College in Townsville, in a match which carries double weighting for the competition.

In the other double header on Tuesday, Mackay State High will battle with Mareeba State High at Jack Manski Oval in Townsville.

The games will be played back to back on the same field, with St Augustine’s and Holy Cross meeting in the Cowboys Challenge at 11am.

On Wednesday, Trinity Bay will be determined to find some winning form against one of the Payne Cup’s top dogs in St Patrick’s College from Mackay.

The two sides will clash at Jack Manski Oval, with the Cowboys Challenge action kicking off the day at 11am.

Then comes the main event, two schools who wholeheartedly believe Townsville aint big enough for both of them.

They have met in several Aaron Payne Cup finals over the past decade, and no matter what the results say, the clash is always a blcokbuster.

Kirwan and Iggy Park will clash at Kirwan’s league ground, with the Cowboys Challenge kicking off at 3.30pm.

DOLPHINS CUP

The Dolphins Cup Round 2 action will be highlighted by a huge battle between two schools flying off the back of big opening round wins.

St Brendan’s Yeppoon showed plenty of energy in reserves to run over the top of Shalom College last week, and will need to dig deep again when they clash with the firepower up front at Emmaus College.

Emmause blockbuster forward pack proved just why they are one of the most feared units in central Queensland last week, and will be determined to claim a major scalp on their road to the Dolphins Cup finals.

The two sides will headline the action on Tuesday, with their Dolphins Challenge sides to kick off at 4.30pm.

Two standalone Dolphins Challenge games will also take place on Tuesday as The Cathedral College makes the long journey to Emerald to face competition newcomers Marist College, while Shalom College and Bundaberg State High will clash in a Bundy derby.

The Dolphins Cup action continues on Wednesday when The Cathedral College searches for its first win of the season against a Rockhampton Grammar School side who started the season on the bye in Round 1.
