NSW dynamic duo have struck again, staving off a late challenge in the battle of east v west. Watch the replays from South Pine on day four of the Nationals.

The dynamic duo have done it again.

NSW Metro have knocked off one of the top challengers in the Under-18 boys tournament, and in the process locked up their spot in the national championships finals.

And it was down to their star pair in Emmett Adair and Steve Hall to deal out the punishment in a sizzling 91-57 win over Western Australia Metro.

NBA Global Academy youngster Adair finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in a huge performance while the dynamic Hall netted 22 points, five rebounds and four steals.

It was a comprehensive performance from the sky blues, who led from the opening whistle to the last, with four of their starting five hitting double digits on the scoreboard.

As he has for most of the tournament, Charlie Dimmock attempted to steer the Western Australians to victory on his own with 16 points on 63 per cent shooting.

But it was on the boards where the WA side was beaten comprehensively, giving up 20 rebounds to their rivals.

The boys clash headlined a big day of action on the showcourt at South Pine Sports Complex which included an incredible individual display from Tasmania’s Jacob Furphy despite their loss to Victoria Metro.

The boy with springs in his legs competed for everything scoring 16 points and bringing down 17 boards to go with three blocks.

But his individual effort wasn’t enough as teh Victorian side cruised past their rivals 88-58.

Two of the top boys teams in the country will headline a massive fourth day of the Under-18 National Championships at South Pine Sports Complex.

As the race for quarter-final spots hits fever pitch, KommunityTV subscribers will get a glimpse at a match-up that could quite easily be semi-finals bound.

It will be a battle of east against west, as NSW Metro and Western Australia Metro clash in the final match of day four on the show court at South Pine.

Both sides have been impressive across the week in Brisbane, only dropping one game each - both of those to the undefeated Queensland South.

Both sides also possess incredible firepower on the court with NSW sharpshooter Emmett Adair leading the way for the sky blues averaging 20.3 points per game, while on the opposite side of the floor is WA Metro skipper Roman Lutton who is also averaging beyond 20 points per game.

The clash will headline a massive day of action which also includes a battle of the south between South Australia Country and Victoria Country.
