Accuracy in front of goal has proved the difference in the School Sport SA division one grand final as Sacred Heart College ran out convincing premiers.

Sacred Heart led Henley High School at every change, making full use of their inside 50s and shots at goal to triumph 8.4 (52) to 3.11 (29).

A Henley victory would complete an impressive school double after the boys won their ninth-straight state title by beating Adelaide High in August.

But they just couldn’t convert their opportunities, with shot missing the main target - and some spraying out of bounds - from good positions.

Hearts would not be stopped.

They led by six points at the first break, an advantage they maintained heading into halftime before they extended the gap in the third quarter.

Henley threatened a fightback but Hearts sealed the contest with two fourth-quarter goals for the convincing 23-point win.

Earlier, a ruthless Heathfield High School have romped to the School Sport SA division two title with a 60-point thumping of Tenison Woods College.

The Mount Gambier school was first on the board, holding Heathfield scoreless as they took a 7-0 lead into the first quarter break.

But, from there, it was all Heathfield.

They took a narrow, five-point lead into halftime (12-7), then more than doubled their score in the third term to open a 25-9 advantage.

But Heathfield showcased their flair with the footy and dominance over Tenison Woods College to go on a fourth-term tear, kicking seven goals to celebrate premiership glory with a 69-9 win.

Sacred Heart College will go head-to-head with Henley on Tuesday.

It’s all set for a thrilling Division 2 deciders after both Tenison Woods and Heathfield High produced some excellent displays throughout the season.

The main event adds another chapter to the recent rivalry between Sacred Heart and Henley.

Sacred Heart recently proved too strong for St Michael’s College to win their first XVI grand final at Adelaide Oval and will be looking to add a cherry on top to cap off a successful year.

Henley has also enjoyed a dominant 2024 and the girls should prove to be a major challenge for Hearts.

Victory would complete an impressive school double after the Henley boys won their ninth-straight state title by beating Adelaide High in August.

The boys were unstoppable across all four quarters on their way to a resounding 16.9 (105) to 5.6 (36) win.
