2025 AFL Masters National Carnival live stream: Watch every match live from Darwin

Footballers from around the country will travel to Darwin to wind back the clock at the 2025 AFL Masters National Carnival. Find out how to watch every match LIVE and exclusive here.

Age and experience are set to take over the Top End when footballers from across the country head north for the 2025 AFL Masters National Carnival.

One the fastest growing Aussie rules tournaments in Australia will arrive in Darwin at the end of September, with KommunityTV to bring you all the action for a fourth straight year.

Kicking off on Sunday, September 28, 29 matches will be streamed live and exclusive on the carnival’s opening day before play resumes on Wednesday, October 1.

The final two days of action will be on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4 with 87 games in total across the four days.

With over 60 teams and 1,250 players set to compete at the carnival, AFL Masters president Dean Wallington said it promised to be another can’t miss event.

“Everyone from the southern states is looking forward to some nice, warm weather and those in the north aren’t looking forward to the humidity,” Wallington said.

“This is our third largest carnival we’ve ever had. It’s not quite the 66 teams we had on the Sunshine Coast and in Fremantle but around 1,250 footballers is going to make it a strong carnival.”

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

After the AFL grand final finishes on Saturday, the footy won’t stop when matches begin on Sunday morning in Darwin.

Hosts Northern Territory will field one of its strongest contingent of national carnival teams while the traditional Aussie rules states are sure to be among the contenders.

After a successful showing on home soil in 2024, Wallington said Western Australia would once again be a team to beat.

“Western Australia are always incredibly competitive,” he said.

“They have around 230 players going and will be strong across all divisions and are aiming to back up their success on home soil in Fremantle.”

Wallington said AFL Masters has continued to go from strength to strength across the country.

“Our ladies competitions have been the biggest area of growth across the last few seasons with most states now getting proper fixtures for the ladies team every week,” he said.

“I think (the reason for that growth is) it’s a way to demonstrate sportsmanship and the power of community sport to your children and grandchildren and I think the older generation love being able to stay fit and active and play a sport we all loved in our younger years.”

While unsure of just how many former AFL stars may don the boots, Wallington said former Western Bulldogs champion and 1990 Brownlow medallist Tony Liberatore was always a strong chance to turn back the clock and compete.
