2025 AFL Masters National Carnival live stream: Watch action from every oval on Day 3
The first premiers of the AFL Masters National Carnival were decided on Friday, with Queensland and WA among the victors. Watch the day 3 REPLAYS here.
Queensland secured the Men 45s division 2 premiership with a hard-fought 10-point win over Tasmania at TIO Stadium on Friday.
While both sides headed in with undefeated records, it was the Maroons that kept that unblemished record intact with a 6.4 (40) to 4.6 (30) premiership triumph.
Despite a rather uneventful opening term, where Daniel Stevenson’s goal for Queensland was the only major highlight, the contest well and truly went up a gear after the first break.
An opening skirmish that resulted in a Maroons player being yellow carded for a trip was quickly followed by their second of the day through Jason Moriarty, before a goal saving tackle from Tasmania stopped Stevenson from adding another minutes later.
What followed was a rather remarkable chain of events when Queensland’s Chris Coveny was the beneficiary of a 150m penalty that took him from the back-pocket to the forward-pocket to put through their third and extend the lead to 17 points.
Tasmania then had the chance to put through their first after the halftime siren but Clint Stretton was unable to find the big sticks.
He made up for that early after the long-break before Queensland responded with the next two.
Stuart Cooper was able to get some momentum back in Tasmania’s favour just before the break to cut the margin to 16 points at the final break.
That momentum continued into the opening minute of the last when the boys from the Apple Isle put through another but Queensland’s response two minutes later proved to finally put the nail in the coffin of their comeback and hand Queensland the premiership.
In Friday’s other grand final matchup, it was the Victoria Metro-A side that were a class above the Victoria Metro-B outfit in the Men 65s grand final.
They ended victors 9.1 (55) to 3.2 (20).
Western Australia’s massive 19.10 (124) to 0.0 (0) win over Victoria Metro ensured they would be named the Women 40s premiers after finishing atop the table while Victoria Metro’s Men 55s won bronze in the division 2 with a 114-point win over NSW/ACT.

PREVIEW
They’ve been slogging it out in the sun and heat of Darwin and now the AFL Masters National Carnival combatants are set to finally get a taste of title success.
All four ovals will be exclusively live streamed on KommunityTV on Friday with the action kicking off at 8.30am AWST (9am AEST).
And one of the key attractions is set to come in the carnival’s oldest age group with an all-Victorian battle for the Men 65s title.
Victoria Metro A will take on Victoria Metro B in the clash at 12.45pm on Gardens Oval after both sides went undefeated through their qualifying games.
Expect the likes of A side’s Matthew Gubbins and Ken Wilson to be right up for it when they take on a B team led the experienced Neil Townley among others.
But that’s not the only grand final action set for Friday.
At 9.55am on TIO Oval 1, Queensland will take on Tasmania in the Men 45s Div 2 decider.
Tassie will come in as favourites after taking out the title last year, however both sides have had little trouble in their opening two games with each scoring a pair of convincing victories to set up an intriguing contest.
The Women 40s premiership will also be up for grabs with three games set to decide the round robin competition.
SA, WA and Queensland all hold 2-0 records and face NT, Vic Metro and Tasmania respectively in their final games with the division winner likely to be decided on percentage.
With over 60 teams and 1,250 players set to compete, the carnival is set to be a festival of football in Darwin from September 28 to October 4.
Every match will be live streamed exclusively on KommunityTV.
