Our experts give you an early shot at finding a winner this weekend.

Saturday: ROSEHILL (10 races, start 11.40am), FLEMINGTON (9 races, 12.30pm), DOOMBEN (9 races, 11.48am), MORPHETTVILLE PARKS (9 races, 12.42pm), BELMONT (9 races, 2.08pm). All times EST

FLEMINGTON

BRAD WATERS (Racenet)

STAGEMAN (Race 8, No.8 – $8.50)

Former WA galloper that made an excellent Victorian debut in the Aurie’s Star Handicap. He’ll be better for the straight experience and will be harder to beat.

Value bet: BLUE ARMY (Race 4, No.13 – $14)

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (Racing News Editor)

KISSONALLFORCHEEKS (Race 7, No.5 – $4)

Great record at the trip and second-up. Drawn wide but anticipating Mark Zahra will be positive with half the field first-up and a soft tempo on paper. Doesn’t want the track to get too heavy.

GLENN McFARLANE (Herald Sun)

I’M THUNDERSTRUCK (Race 5, No.1 – $2.40)

Monster effort in the Memsie Stakes and the rise to 1600m looks ideal second up.

VALUE BET: ROCH ‘N’ HORSE (Race 8. No.4 – $17)

SIMON MOY (NewsRacing)

CASCADIAN (Race 5, No.2 – $5.50)

Both I’m Thunderstruck and Cascadian impressed in the Memsie. With the pair expected to go back and the favourite drawn inside think the value lies with this one.

Value bet: TIJUANA (Race 9, No.3 – $8.50)

JETT HATTON (Racenet)

GHANAATI (Race 3 No.7 – $4.20)

Talented filly that turned plenty of heads when winning over this track and distance on debut, showing a turn of foot only good horses possess when winning by close to four lengths. Damien Oliver was on board for the debut and is back in the saddle.

Value bet: REGAL POWER (Race 5 No.3 – $17)

NICOLE THOMAS (TAB)

DOULL (Race 1, No.6 – $2.70)

Promising 3YO that has not raced since destroying his rivals on debut back in May but should be ready to fire following a winning jumpout.

Value bet: TIJUANA (Race 9, No.3 – $8.50)

ROSEHILL

RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph)

MONFELICITY (Race 3 No.10 – $3.60)

Monfelicity ranged up to win at Randwick but was outstayed by Impulsar over the 2400m course. The two stayers clash again but Monfelicity gets her chance to exact revenge. James McDonald is a significant booking for the mare, she has been improved by recent racing and meets Impulsar 1.5kg better at the weights.

Value bet: SEJARDAN (Race 7 No.2 – $8.50)

MATT JONES (Daily Telegraph)

CONQUEROR (Race 6 No.12 – $5)

He’s drawn to get a soft run in transit and looks primed to improve off an eye-catching fresh run. Two trials in between have this horse ready to fire.

Value bet: PRETTY AMAZING (Race 10 No.14 – $17)

DOOMBEN

TRENTON AKERS (Courier Mail)

PRINCE SHALAA (Race 1, No.3 – $3.70)

Got smashed by Spiritualised last start but doesn’t meet anything half as good as him this time around. Drawn to get a sweet run in transit and should prove too good for this lot.

Value bet: EMERALD KINGDOM (Race 8, No.2 – $19)
